Completely different type of mid than Mkhitaryan and he wouldn't give us 20 goals or anything like it but his creativity and eye for quick, good pass would add goals to people around him and make them more productive.

How can it be difficult to sell one of the best GKs in Europe. The mind boggles.

According to team-mate Siem de Jong, the players are still looking to leave the Dutch giants, and have both been heavily linked to the Anfield outfit.

De Jong has revealed he's in no hurry to leave the club, his compatriots are still wrangling for the right offer.

He told AT5: "I talk to them about it. I hope they stay and I have spoken with them.

Eriksen looked to have closed the door on a potential move to Merseyside last week when reports surfaced he was working out a four-year deal with AC Milan, but has now found interest in the deal has cooled.

Both Alderweireld - who turned down a move to Norwich earlier this month - and the midfield star are entering the final twelve months of their contracts with Ajax.

Strange that no more offers seem to be made for these supposed young talents? That we know of of course. But just Norwich.. really?

Eriksen seems like a low-risk signing to me. Potentially fantastic and if it didn't work out we wouldn't lose much money on him.
            Never knowingly optimistic

Aldwerwield seems pretty solid too. £20m for the pair would be good going imo.

Possibly alright. Wonder what fee they'd be looking for him. He had so much attention last year and then it seems all died down.

Odds on us signing Eriksen have gone from 3/1 to 1/1 to 13/8 today. Some interesting movement.

Can't see it especially with Rodgers comments on Coutinho playing at 10 next season.

Yeah I figured. I don't think we'll sign him but I just thought the sudden change in his odds on signing for us was weird. Wonder what kind of insider info SkyBet has

We've been linked to some **** players during the summer and Eriksen is definitely one of the better players we've been linked to. If we're going to sign young players who aren't quite there yet then we need players who are adaptable and intelligent.

It might be a question of getting him in now while available as a future gerrard replacement.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

The betting thing means nothing, wasn't it about 3 years ago that betting was suspended on Frank Ribery signing for us?

I can just imagine Rodgers having a game of transfer guess who with Ayre and one by one they get knocked down as until we are left with Scot Sinclair.
