      But qualifying through fair play is hardly something you'd call massive progress is it? The point being, if I was Eriksen and was to choose between Liverpool and Dortmund its a bit of a no brainer really. He's already stated its his dream to play for one of the big clubs in Spaiin so if its possible he wouldn't exactly be here for the long haul. Play CL football for a 2/3 season and push for his dream move or come here and maybe not play CL football at all in the that time.

        Eriksen is going to be this summer's LFC transfer window "Juan Mata". We'll all get excited, but he was probably never even a real target

          With Coutinho showing what he is capable of in that central role, I am not fussed about Eriksen right now.

            Some of the play of Coutinho on Saturday was absolutely brilliant. Still think we need an alternative to Downing. He's been okay this season but nowhere near the standard if we want to kick on and go higher

              100% agree on Downing. Simply never going to be good enough for wher ewe want to go. The style of football we play now we don't really need an orthodox winger as such and I would like to see us sign someone like Iker Muniain or Arda Turan if possible.

                Unless of course we get Remy and Suarez gets given a roaming role like Coutinho and we alternate between Remy and Sturridge up top. I like Remy, very good striker.

                  ...Remy is a very good player in a woeful QPR side. He's been one of the only standout performers for them this season... Should be on a lot of clubs shopping lists for the summer. He'll be relatively cheap too...

                    Remy's an interesting one.

                    Didn't really rate him from what (very little ) I saw of him at Marseille and Nice, but he's done well at QPR.

                    Probably worth a punt at the prices mentioned.

                        What are your thoughts on Remy? Could really thrive in the way we set up IMO.

                              I think you are selling him short Shaggy, he has been ok this season and had plenty of decent gametime.

                              It seems the market price for wingers is between 15 and 20m so we should be asking about 12 for him.

                                I thought Downing came out and said Brendan had told him he wouldn't be sold, or did that just apply to the January window?
