Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Looks a good signing with years of P.L. experience on a free transfer. Welcome to LFC.

Speculations are his wages will be 75k per week...

                  Probably about right I guess.

Free transfer......its all that could account for the high wages being handed to a 32 year old.
                    Easily believable IMO.

Whats the point anyway ?? He'll just **** off like all the others !!

7.8m in wages over the course of his contract for 32 year old who may or may not play very much seems way too generous to me.

We've brought in much needed experience and we're saving £1.3M or so a year on wages from what Carra was getting.

We also paid nothing for him. Arguably he is worth a couple of million. So it's not terrible business.

Think we should wait to see him play for us anyway, before rushing to judge if he is worth the money.

Said it was believable (of us)......not wise.

Employing someone with experience costs more money. I guess it's about minimising risk, we could spend 4m in wages on someone with less of a track record but you'd think playing them would be more risky. I think it's probably money well spent in the scheme of things. We said the same or worse when carra was given his last bumper contract but things could have been much worse this season if we hasn't given it to him.
