I'm sure I made a pertinent, incisive and generally fascinating point in the deleted thread but sadly I can't remember what it was.

Spoke to a City fan at work today and he was a bit miffed at losing Kolo. Says whenever he played this season he was actually really good, getting back to the level he was at in his Arsenal days. Thought we'd pulled a very nice deal.

Haven't seen him recently enough to judge, but any chance we've actually bought the man to start rather than as a backup?

        Similar comments from Rob Dawson.

My guess would be that he's likely to start the season as Agger's partner and then it's up to our new young CB to play their way into the team.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

My feeling is he is bought to at least compete for a first choice place. I'd expect him to start the season in one of the CB roles.

I'm not 100% certain that Agger won't have to fight seriously for a place if we bring in another CB in the Papadopoulos level of investment.

There is a Kolo Toure thread (not the welcome to LFC one though) that been merged with "The spurs thread":

                  Starting with this post

                    Lol. ALEX!?!?!
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                    Mine angry and defrauded young?

I'd say that's grounds for resignation personally.

                            You seem tense.

Anyway back to discussing Toure. Let's hope he's not as error prone as Alex

The Spurs thread and old Kolo threads have been split up and everything is back to normal.
