How is a discussion embarrassing? I think most of them would walk into our midfield. Only maybe Lucas of our lot would get in that trio. But Sandro and Dembele have been excellent recently.

Paulinho hasn't signed for them yet and they were comparing a midfield 3 against a midfield 2, when they don't even have one of the players. Dembele was on the bench due to injury towards the end of the season and they think Lucas is the weak link and is totally mediocre.

Other than that their argument was pretty valid

And I'd take Gerrard over any of their midfielders

Spurs are better than us at the moment, difficult to swallow maybe but that's where we are at the moment.

Not that I side with the Spurs supporters but last season at home we were utterly dominated in midfield by Spurs. At no stage whatsoever did we have control of the midfield and only got back into the game via a **** up. This was mainly due to having 4 attacking players leaving Gerrard and Lucas and stem the tide of Spurs' entire midfielder and Neither Gerrard and Lucas are 'runners'.

Leave the Spurs love in on twitter, they can **** off, fed up with them jumping in. If he goes there it is because we wouldn't pay the asking price as normal. We should pay up or shut up and move on.

A fit Lucas is superior to Sandro and on last years form, Gerrard was more productive in the PL than all 3 put together.

This time last year some fans were saying Newcastle were better than us.

Not that I'm saying we are or are not better than Spurs (I do think we have a better team TBH) but some fans have a tendency to seriously overrate opposition players and targets and undervalue our own.
