From the bloke who rates Jones above Reina and calls Johnson '****'.Originally posted by vlahka View PostI expect him to get loaned out next season and possibly sold the following. Dont see enough in him to convince me he should be at liverpool.
To be fair, the only player you have called right, is Coutinho.

I expect most people will ignore your opinions and you'll join another forum by next season.Originally posted by vlahka View PostI expect him to get loaned out next season and possibly sold the following. Dont see enough in him to convince me he should be at liverpool. Was muß, das muß.

You misunderstood me. I meant the previous season Jones was more steady than Reina. And to be totally honest both arent good enough at their current level to be here. But I think Jones deserves a little less abuse since he has done some good for us.Originally posted by Muddled View PostFrom the bloke who rates Jones above Reina and calls Johnson '****'.

I dont think I mentioned it since I dont post too often but I was also very happy that we grabbed Sturridge back in January.

Clearly this is what some of you on here aim for when someone speaks their mind that doesnt suit the majority. I bet you also thought Le Tallec was class. Judging by our join dates I'e been here a bit longer than you too. Lets say he does turn out to be not good enough and is gone in 2-3 seasons, all this abuse will still be somehow justified because I didnt give him half a decade to prove himself. Some players you can look and see their movement and either be sure or unsure. For me I'm more sure hes not the player to help us challenge for titles. I have no problem if others think he is. I'm not one to jump in every thread or start threads to try and prove I'm right. Thats just my feeling on that player.
And I'm sorry that the rest of you decide to call me out when I've said nothing about your own opinions. Makes you wonder what a forum is even supposed to be about if one view point is only acknowledged. Real classy. 100% positive, 0% negative. Is this the rule?

Besides, negativity doesn't make for enjoyable reading. Leave that to the media. Was muß, das muß.

He's played 71 minutes for us, how you can make a judgement on his movement in that short a period of time I have no idea.Originally posted by vlahka View PostYou misunderstood me. Nothing about being positive or negative just a bit bewildering you can make a call on such limited information playing for us in our system

Yes it is a short amount of time and I never said we should get rid of him right now. I'm fine with giving him his 1-2 seasons to show his skill and improve. All I said was I dont think he'll get to the level we need to challenge for titles. Not that I wanted him out right now. Just want to underline that part.
Mind you I think seeing and deciding I dont think he'll turn out for us is probably far better than most people on here who palmed Coutihno before he even joined us. I dont think I recall too many being pleased about Sturridge either.

No-one minds anyone voicing their opinions but what is your opinion of Alberto based on? One game, 71 minutes. It's ridiculous.Originally posted by vlahka View PostClearly this is what some of you on here aim for when someone speaks their mind that doesnt suit the majority. And even if you claim to have seen him loads in Spain as well, it's hardly comparable to here in terms of style, level or future performance.
Rodgers and co clearly saw enough there to think it was worthwhile getting him in and seeing what he can do and what they can do for/to him.
You can't expect your opinion to be taken remotely seriously when you make judgments about players on such little relevant evidence and when it's clearly at odds with the views of experienced people who make their living by evaluating the potential of young players and know what they want to see before deciding whether it's worth investing time and money in trying to develop them.
As for whether or not he'll make it, if he doesn't then it won't prove anything about your judgment. It will still have been hopelessly premature.
It's not about positive or negative, it's about whether there is any basis for your opinion. So don't bother mythologising that you're a brave, lone voice, standing up for freedom of speech against the narrow-minded who would close you down. If you say ridiculous things, expect ridicule..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
