its a pretty big pond though but i dont think spurs are getting insider info on our targets. I just think the way levy operates they leave their business to the last few days and see what deals are available.

but i do expect them to go for willian. Like mkhitrayan we won't get a free run at this one.

Is it not possible they have similar targets and when one of their rivals make a move they think they better pull their finger out now they are not unchallenged? That's pretty much what happened with Phil Jones, Fergie was willing to let him stay at Blackburn for another year until we showed our hand.

I also think Spurs will have another target in mind for a similar role in Lamela, out of interest if we got Willian and Spurs got Lamela what would the reaction be?

@MoleyBTK: This is all the news I have on #Willian some interesting stuff in here #LFC read and RT http://t.co/tkwqGLQiOU #RUMOURS

With Liverpool failing in their attempts to land Mkhitaryan and Diego Costa there attention has turned to the Brazilian maestro Willian of Anzhi.

The Russian club is having a bit of a fire sale at the moment and this alerted LFC to the possibility of signing attacking midfielder.

What I can reveal is that LFC have been in discussions today with Anzhi with Billy Hogan believed to be taking the lead in the talks

Tottenham are also believed to hold an interest LFC know they had to act fast
I am led to believe that Liverpool have offered 28m plus 5m in add ons ( this would kick in if LFC qualified for Champions league in the next two seasons )

Anzhi have now given Liverpool exclusivity to talk to the player with the club willing to offer him a five year deal worth 100k per week plus bonuses, they hope to have the deal wrapped up by Monday

Brendan Rodgers is also very keen to add a centre back to his ranks with Sakho, Chygrynskiy and Inigo Martinez all an option.

Both very good players but if they go for around about the same price I would say Spurs have got the better deal. He's younger and has a higher ceiling imo.

it depends on systems and formations as to which teams are after which players. Both spurs and ourselves play 433, so there's going to be some overlap in interest in players. But some of their dealings seem panicked and for me both sigurdsson and Dempsey are examples of buying players without a clear plan on how to use them.

Dempseys gone after one season which is unusual.

I agree in that Pamela could turn out to be the better player but willian when hes bothered can be very tricky too.
