As I said. It strengthens Spurs but does not weaken us and we are stronger than last season. I'm sure we'll sign a quality player before the window shuts of not we still have Suarez to look forward to coming back.

I don't see the three of them as effective as Coutinho and Sturridge. Suarez will want to be the main man and that IMO will hamper Sturridge, on paper it looks great.Originally posted by Alex View PostSuarez, Coutinho and Sturridge sounds as good a forward line as anyone in the league.
So I'm pretty happy at the moment. But the more the merrier.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

For me it is not necessarily about this player willian and how good he may or may not be but the fact is he will strengthen Spurs. mancs, city, chelsea and spurs are all well ahead of us and will keep us out of top 4th yet again. If we would have been as agressive as spurs this off season I woul have felt very confident about getting back into CL. Chances are we are not going to at this rate and chances of keeping Suarez or as proven in this window recruiting proper talent that will help us break through after yet another 5-7 place finish is very unlikely.

He's the best individual in the team, someone just needs to let him know that he's surrounded by other capable individuals

5th is probably our level at the moment if you look at our squad. However, we are more settled than the other four and that may help us. It'll be no shame to finish the season 5th behind that lotOriginally posted by loki View PostFor me it is not necessarily about this player willian and how good he may or may not be but the fact is he will strengthen Spurs. mancs, city, chelsea and spurs are all well ahead of us and will keep us out of top 4th yet again. I agree that it's not about the player specifically but it is an addition, along with the other arrivals, that will strengthen that spurs team. I think LFC have done very well this window by not overpaying for targets/getting some decent early deals and handling of suarez saga but do think we could do with at least one more signing. There is still time to get aggressive as even tho we seem to have missed out on willian...we can see that some clubs have found it hard to also strengthen (arse & mancs), some clubs have made slight additions (chavs) & obviously citeh have blown a bucket load. There is a gap to be closed & if we remain this cautious there will be a bigger gap to close (with spurs & all their signings) so lets finish the window on the front foot & keep up/close that gap & keep within fighting distance of a top 4 finish!Originally posted by loki View PostFor me it is not necessarily about this player willian and how good he may or may not be but the fact is he will strengthen Spurs. mancs, city, chelsea and spurs are all well ahead of us and will keep us out of top 4th yet again.
