Theyve had awful injuries all season to the spine, plus the small squad he runs has made things even tougher.

Will be interesting to see who they bring in. Hopefully not recycling another of the relegation fodder roulette gang.

Impressive list of clubs there stretching over 3 decades.

More than fly's in the face of your assertion that he's not suited to top flight football.

Now I'm not suggesting that he's the best manager ever or even a modern great however he's had a long managerial career at.both club and international level.

It was. Better than being runner up in a couple of cups, but that’s not top level football.

Too stubborn to adapt makes you look foolish.

Stubbornness is the trait that makes you great and top class managers hardly ever change too much from their main philosophy.

I remember Pep getting a lot of flack in his first year for not winning the league and his style of football might not be suited etc.

          Are we winning?

            Not even comparable...
Pep would just buy the pawns he needs to fill his solid gold chess board, but a manager with a realistic budget has to cut his cloth accordingly.
To continue to play expansive football without the players needed (through injuries) then its clear, the results speak for themselves, no!

True, but pep stuck to an approach that had won everything, and Biesla stuck to a formula that hasn’t won anything of note.

He’s lost a spine while Guardiola had none of these problems.

As I said, Leeds did well last year. We all know what’s gone wrong this year and it doesn’t involve the fact he’s inadequate as a manager.

He was sacked from Espanyol after 12 games with only 3 wins.
He was sacked by Lille winning just 3 games of his 14
He lasted 113 games at Bilbao but still only won 38% of his games
He won 21 of 41 at Marseilles - a 51% win record which is by far his best season.
He's won 80 of 170 at Leeds giving him 47% but that drops to 44% once the Championship season is taken out.

A 41% win record at a series of clubs that you describe as 'impressive'. Hardly spectacular.

So you lose your spine but carry on as normal...

I never said he was inadequate, i said he was stubborn.

I will now leave you to wrestle with yourself

According to a source of mine who works at Leeds in a senior position, The sacking wasn't the owners decison its comes from the 49'ers. He was going to keep Bielsa but with full ownership looming for them they demanded they get there man in now. The M.D is close to walking.

                      Wise decision I think.

His inadequacies in this instance are 100% in not changing philosophy when it was clearly not working and was bringing the same results (getting thrashed) week after week. Even Everton beat them FFS.

A better manager finds a solution. He definitely can’t argue with getting sacked. They were soooo poor when we played them that game could legitimately have ended up more than 10-0

I liked his style of play last season, but this season without some key players it really hasn't worked, they have reached a point where they are just leaking goals, they have conceded at least 3 in each of their last 5 games and 14 in their last 3 alone, with where they are in the table and the number of games left they look to be running out of road.

I think their situation shows why so many teams in the league play such a negative style of football, it is possible to do it but when injuries hit key players things can go badly wrong.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Bielsa is heralded by Guardiola and numerous other top rate coaches as being one of the best and forward thinking coaches that has ever existed. He’s created a template for a lot managers to try and emulate, so it’s irrelevant he hasn’t “won” anything in a top league. Sometimes you don’t have to win things to be a trailblazer admired by others. Also, he’s a fantastic human being, modest and humble according to a lot of people.

He’s done great last year and this year Leeds have suffered from injuries, Covid etc and lost their spine.

I can still vividly remember a few ****s in here calling for Klopp’s head when we were struggling in the league so it’s nothing new the stick Bielsa gets.
Bielsa and Moyes sitting in a tree,
                            not winning anything quite happily
