It’s official spurs have appointed him on a 5 year deal with no relegation clause.

He probably knows he can kick up a big stink and get a better payoff when they sack him down in the championship.

I don’t think I’ve seen one spurs fan say they are happy with the appointment. Add in that the longest time he’s spent at a club in his last 3 jobs was 1 year 9 months. Such a strange appointment. Is he really that great of a coach.

Think the fact Spurs will be his 9th management job in 13 years answers that.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

That would sound like Harry. You do have to wonder how much of what he says is true, and not just to the tax man.

I do hope Spurs go down. With that stadium to pay for it would be such a crash. If they could get their **** together they could be challenging for CL qualification each season so I’d rather they go down than West Ham.

Or just the fact that he's at Spurs
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Might end up going ok i think. He had Brighton play some seriously good football. Alexis MacAllister has spoken about him as a brilliant coach and credits him with making him tue player who went on to get picked for Argentina.

Spurs probably had to give him the long contract and assurances that they would stick with him in the event of them getting relegated as it would give him an opportunity to bring them back up. If he ends up doing a Tudor and bombing, they might pay him off but they need to be careful. They can pin Thomas Frank as a Levy appointment and can state that Tudor was always a temp appointment. If DeZerbi falls out with them, then they are in basket case territory.

I reckon he will keep them up........and be gone by this time next season

Yeah, he’ll keep them up. They’ve got some rebuilding to do and they’d be well advised to stick with him and be patient while loosening the purse strings, and patiently ignore his argumentative side, but that won’t happen.

With his track record think it is when rather than if.

It was a bit of a joke appointment from the off. I wonder how much that will cost them?

Apparently just 1 years compensation according to The Athletic - £4m
