I'm beginning to let myself get carried away.

If we can get through Christmas and come out of it in and around the top by a handful of points I'm going to get giddy. January and February has the opportunity for us to get a run going; March, April is where it could get interesting.

Perhaps this could be the season where the Premiership is a genuine six horse race.

yes yes we are,but i think in midfield we are lacking and we could benefit with a wide player as well to give us further options

Coutinho will shortly be amongst the goals, but if we could get some more goals from the middle of the park to take the pressure off Suarez and/or Sturridge (if the service isn't there, or they having an off game), it would be great.

And Bruce Grobbelaar has said I'm (and y'all) going to be chuffed with a signing this January, so ... let's have it.

Man City and Chelsea away in the space of 3 days over the festive season is a very tough run.

Yeah that's not going to be easy but they'll not enjoy facing us either.

We can beat both, no doubt about it, the close proximity of the games and the travelling won't help us prepare for them very well though which lessens our chances.

Agreed. It will show a measure of how far we've come/where we are if we could come out of these games with at least 2 points.

I think we'll be ok and i think we will pick up 4 points from those two games. We should have beaten city last year if Reina had done his job.

Chelsea play Arsenal on Monday nights (23rd), Swansea 26th, and us 29th so it won't be easy for them to have 3 games in 6 days
