He doesn't look much better than Sterling. If we buy him I hope he turns out to be amazing obviously. I think we've spent a lot of money on a number of players who aren't going to improve the first team and we need to concentrate our spending on doing that now rather than buying additional players who probably won't make any real difference.

But do really need him to improve the first team or come in as a squad player to back up players such as Sturridge, Sterling and Coutinho ???Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostHe doesn't look much better than Sterling. Cissoko hasn't played well for about 5 or 6 years, Aspas played one season in the Primera & Moses is decent enough but is lazy & really doesn't seem to give a ****. Cissoko & Moses stop gap non risk loan deals & Aspas.... well who knows.
At least Salah has been playing & impressing in the champs league & has 17 from 27 at international Level. For a reasonable fee could be a good addition.

It's not been that long, he only made his professional debut at his first club 6 years ago!
He was reportedly very good for his first couple of seasons at Lyon after joining in '09 and initially at Valencia last season too..

We need to be careful with these cheap young signings. Illori and Alberto have made zero impact. Coutinho after a phenomenal six months has yet to hit those heights again.
That money plus the 7m for aspas could have been spent better. I hope Salah offers more than Alberto and illori have.
I'm sure the club have one eye on the future but Rodgers has to deliver today. That 20m could have bought us a real talent or with another 10m someone closer to hazard than aspas.
From a managers point of view that's got to be very frustrating.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
