Im not trying to prove anything. People are paraphrasing and conveniently ignoring information thats there all to suit. I read "if he just came out and apologised this wouldn't have gone down the path that it did" about 10 times yesterday. He literally did that! But it fell on deaf ears and now you have an angry alphamale Spaniard with his back to the wall fighting for his life.

Right or wrong. I just find it interesting looking at both sides and the flip-flopping and doubling down thats ensued. Being from a Spanish family myself, i know how emotional and reactionary we can be. Cultural thing.

Then get called an incel by the biggest patronising prick on this site in return too. Not once have i condoned what he did by the way. Its pretty ****ing obvious it was completely inappropriate.

Im not defending anyone. Just pointing out to those making incorrect assumptions in their haste to fume at the situation. That doesn't mean im condoning his actions. People here seem to really struggle with basic comprehension sometimes.

Im not happy to accept his apology, it's not my apology to accept. I think the problem is that people felt the need to chime in and not leave this between the two people involved to settle. Like the quotes i posted from both of them. It seemed to have been somewhat settled the next day "no big deal, heat of the moment thing" - until others got involved and fuelled the fire throwing his apology back in his face and its now exploded into an absolute farce and ruining what should've been a huge celebration for the country.

The information I think you are ignoring is the fact that she said a day or two later that she wasn’t happy with what happened and felt violated.

With regards to the incel thing, yeah. Weird thing to call someone. The default is not the extreme if you don’t agree with someone.
