He's a knob and definitely has his personality flaws, but at the end of the day he seems a decent guy for a footballer.

They were paid stooges to replicate the Messi incident. Messi ignores one fan, Ronaldo embraces three . Ronaldo is so transparent.

Clermont Foot 63 have appointed the former France captain Corinne Diacre as their coach, replacing Helena Costa.

Costa became the first woman coach of a professional men’s club in the top two tiers of any European league when she was appointed by Clermont last month, but the 36-year-old quit on Monday citing personal reasons.

The French second division club have now given the job to another woman, with 39-year-old Diacre signing a two-year contract.

Diacre made 121 appearances for France between 1993 and 2005. She has been an assistant to the national team for the last seven years as well as managing her former club Soyaux since 2010.

Costa quit after just one day of training after male colleagues sidelined her and left her convinced she was just a “face” to attract publicity.

Costa said she arrived at the club to discover new players had been signed and “friendly” matches arranged without her knowledge.

Costa, who was reported to be furious about how she was treated, said that even before she started the job she was being pushed aside, and that it was clear to her that she was expected to be the “face of the club” without any power or control.

That rug really tied the room together.

Ronaldo could cure world hunger and people would still say it's a publicity stunt.

Until he cures world hunger I reserve the right to call him a preening ****bag.

Ronaldo for all the preening and posturing on the pitch, actually seems like a decent bloke off it.

It might be all for publicity, but I dare say he does more charity work in a day than I have done in a life time.

I have massive respect for Ronaldo, I have been reading a lot about him recently, the amount of charity work he does, and in generall good deeds for mainly sick children would put most footballers to shame. Genuinely seems like a top guy.

                              This made me LOL.

Jay Rodriguez arrives at Southampton FC for the first day of pre-season.

Out of their top players they have Rodriguez, Schneiderlin and Lovren left. At a guess the last two will be off too.

Got to feel for them, but they will be rolling in dosh like never before now.
