Legal stuff is still done by fax isn't it? Something to do with the authenticity of signatures

    Comment

Yep. Remember that Liverpool documentary when we Rodgers was waiting round awkwardly, while mundanely discussing squad numbers, for Joe Allen's paperwork to come through via fax?

Not according to the great Oleg Luzhny!

Signatures on scanned documents are legally binding these days, so sending a pdf would be fine.

Making a PDF is a bit of a faf though. Its quite easy to fax something. Bit old fashioned I agree. But I can see why its done.

I proof all of my drawings that way.

Liverpool may finally have something to smile about this transfer window by landing Yevhen Konoplyanka.

Sources in Ukraine this morning say a £16million deal for the Dnipro winger is "ready to be completed".

Liverpool MD Ian Ayre is in Ukraine leading the Reds' negotiations and it is believed he is close to striking a deal with Dnipro and the player.

Konoplyanka will be offered a four-and-a-half year deal worth £60,000-a-week to come to Anfield.

Liverpool will be relieved and delighted if they can get the Ukraine international over the line after their disappointments during this transfer window.

These days any modern office has a combined printer / copier / scanner so it's just as easy to scan as it is to fax

Can't remember last time I sent a fax. In fact I think when I did I scanned it and used email2fax

Making a pdf is really easy Alex. I use Bullzip PDF Printer which appears in your list of printers. All you do is select it as the printer. If I can do it...

Looking at the recent reviews, it seems it adds malware to your PC but I've not noticed anything on mine

My sauces tell me Ayre actually sent a letter not a fax, he used a 2nd class stamp by accident thus causing the delay. The hire car to drive him back for a medical also had a puncture.

Ohh I can make PDFs fine.

But I have to sign off drawings, so I print them A4, and then check and fax. The bloke who needs them sits next to the fax and get the copy instantly. Saves me going over to the scanner, waiting for that and then doing an email.

And getting a care with a spare tire was outside of their budget, they stood firm and refused to stump up the extra?

PDFs are a piece of piss. Photocopiers scan to PDF too. I can't remember the last time I saw a fax machine tbh.
                                Oh I don't know.
