Again... Where's the evidence? So far it's all hearsay. (Not trying to be difficult for the sake of an argument)

He already had that dispensation in the window, the hold up that meant he signed outside the window was us getting the third party ownership **** checked.

I think the signing can go through after the window closes so long as the deal has been agreed in the window. I could be wrong though.

Well... Multiple sources in the press are saying we agreed terms, the player had a medical, we triggered his release clause, but their owner refused to sign the papers. Outside of that, I'm not really sure why I have to provide you any evidence of anything.

Were all gutted but no one should be surprised.

Anyway i didn't waste another deadline day evening glued to SSN. I played footie and then i went to the pub with my mates.

Just got in and so im not seething like others are. I just accepted a long time ago that we would once again manage to **** this up.

I merely want the process (of which Ayre is a key part) scrutinised for failing to deliver multiple targets over the last two windows. Accountability for failure and putting steps in place to improve and learn from it is better than merely drawing a line under it and brushing it under the carpet hoping no one will notice...

Either way I'd love to be a fly on the wall when henry got the call off Ayre.

Ayre: Sorry boss it's no deal

Henry: Another one Ian what's gone wrong this time?

                  Ayre: Hangs up phone.

Seriously though Henry and Werner should be looking into why we seem to take so long with deals and why the majority of them appear to be falling through.

I'm not that bothered. It's only a game after all. It doesn't impact my life (or my family's). It's just an interesting discussion.

But they would likely not tell anyone if that happened anyway. I would be surprised if the club didn't do performance reviews of staff.

If there is something to be held accountable for, I have no doubt he will be... Like Comolli, Kenny etc.

                        FSG have certainly proven that.

At least this means Rodgers won't feel like he's being screwed around. Phew. That's all that matters to me.

So after the last window, I'd have expected an improvement in securing our primary targets. After all, a process is only as good as the results it delivers...

I don't think Rodgers would leave. If he gets us in the CL then we have a lot more bargaining and pulling power than we do now.
