Give him the Palace game at end of season when title is already won, so fans can spend 90 mins letting him know how they feel.

Then let him watch us lift the title, up close and personal.

If he doesn't get the boot, as long as he never refs a match of ours that'll do me. We do have quite a small pool of refs that can ref us from what I remember, so that could do it for him.

        2. We've all ****ed up. We've all said things we mean, but which we also mean to keep private. If you think that this ref is unique in any way, then you're kidding yourself. A lot of them probably hate Klopp, and most other managers, given the amount of abuse they get. Klopp himself has been banned a couple of times for it. This guy said something that happened to be recorded and he's been stitched up. I think it is fine to feel sorry for him in the circumstances. That could be the end of his career, for what?
Yeah everyone has ****ed up, the problem for PGMOL is that this is out in the public domain. Regardless of how professional he can be in keeping his professional and private views separate if they continue to give him our games or those of our direct opponents any time there is a bad decision questions about his impartiality will be asked.

The responsible thing for PGMOL to do would be avoid putting him in that position by not giving him such games thus avoiding further damage to both their and his reputation. If people think that harms his career as an official tough **** he shouldn't have been so stupid to say those things, and frankly should consider himself lucky if the doesn't get the sack.

However I would be surprised if PGMOL do anything so drastic, if found guilty he'll probably be demoted for a few weeks then will be back officiating our games a couple of weeks later.

Its irrelevant to a degree whether he has any bias against us or not, the words give reason to believe he might. If there is any suggestion the product does not have honest refs it can damage the value of the brand.
Those are the rules for players, officials aren't held to the same standards, so not sure that would be the case.

He's incompetent and biased; a total cunt of a ref. I hope he's perma-banned from the PL.

I don't know, we actually have a noticable low winning percentage with him in charge, and he's overseen, as VAR or onfield, a number of high profile ****-ups. Almost did last weekend with the Salah chance, he wasn't going to give it.

With his feelings towards Liverpool over the last four years now in the open, I feel it's a very serious matter. So much of being a referee is about communication, I feel it's a rather big issue and he definitely should never, ever be allowed to ref Liverpool games, but given that he has also influenced our title races by giving calls for City, I'd rather not see him again, period.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Juiced up or not…… not remembering. He was sober enough to follow it up with a short saying the video couldn’t be made public.

End of the day you are still accountable for your own words if they cross lines and especially if those words, spoken in private or not, cross into your professional world and bring your profession (and your own professionalism) into disrepute.

Also to touch in the ending of a career point. If he was allowing his bias to impact decisions on a football pitch and on the touchlines, then it could be argued that the end result of one of those decisions could impact someone else's career be it through a bad decision costing a title, causing a relegation, not removing a player that then went on to cause a serious injury or whatever.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Not that this justifies anything, but I've long thought that one of the worst jobs in football is 4th official when Klopp was on the sideline. The hail-fellow-well-met, super charismatic genial big man we all love is only one part of his personality. The bug eyed ranting uber-competitive lunatic was what you got as the ref on the sideline so it's hardly surprising that plenty didn't like him.

This exhonerates Coote of nothing but still.

Plenty of opposition fans think Klopp is a c$$r for the reasons you specify. I don’t think Coote is corrupt but his bias must play a part of it, how couldn’t it for most normal people. We’ll never know but the evidence states that he has publicly called Klopp a German so and so, added to that we have multiple contentious decisions not go “our way” when he was involved, decisions that feasibly decided the destinations of at least one title.

I wonder what the club will do?

Coote was beyond stupid to allow someone to film what he said. 100% Teirney and Webb have said similar things in private.

It seems Coote may be the victim of a lover scorned; he has been casually outed and may have had his career destroyed by Ben Kitts (former cricketer), the other man in the video. There was concern by a few on X for Coote's current mental health given what happened yesterday - his well-being has to be a concern for everyone.

I don't think he can realistically officiate our games again, and he should be steered away from other high-profile title or relegation-deciding games. As that's difficult for PGMOL to manage, I think it is better that he goes to the MLS or Saudi league (less likely if he has been outed), or maybe the SPL is an option?

Talk****e going with he is "a deadman walking" and will be sacked.

I’m pretty sure if almost anyone was on the record, wasted, with controversial views about their place of work which then went viral then their position would become untenable. There is nothing different here. Thinking it is one thing, getting recorded saying it is another particularly when there appears to be evidence backing up his bias.

He should never referee in the Prem again.

He should be supported etc but beyond that I don’t see how he continues.

He’ll probably take a job in Saudi & be well paid.

I know what you mean about 4th official being a terrible job,but was Klopp any worse than any other manager in regards to his behaviour on the touchline or towards the 4th official
