Aye, I don't expect perfection from the man out on the pitch, who sees it all in real time and may be unsighted at a crucial moment in the event, but the numpties in the VAR room should not be making the mistakes that they make.
Also, lets give them a time limit please. Anything over 1 minute and it is no longer "clear and obvious" and you just go with the referees on field decision. Yes, other angles may subsequently become available, but win some, lose some.

Fine in theory, but it could have the unintended consequence of VAR delaying decisions to go with an incorrect on-field decision, which will cause further controversy. I’d rather that accept a practical margin of error for offsides and let them take their time over more subjective decisions.
Does anyone think that VAR could be used for retrospective yellows for diving or missed fouls etc? A lot happens in a match that can be difficult to spot in real time and it would destroy the game to VAR everything in real time as well. I just hate how simulation is part of the game now.
I can see where you are coming from, in cases where the onfield ref gives a pen but the decision is overturned because the player took a dive avoiding a yellow card because your dive was somewhat convincing doesn't leave a good taste.
But I think if you allow yellows to be awarded because of VAR getting involved for this then you probably have to allow it to intervene for other yellows too and you get into a re-refereeing the games situation, matches would go on for hours.
I don't like the idea that someone could be given a 2nd yellow card and hence suspension after the game because something relatively minor has been re-reviewed. (There used to be bans for straight reds that refs missed but those had to be serious fouls). I don't think a process that looks at yellows after the match is at all transparent and there is probably something in most games where players could have been booked had the ref seem something slightly differently, you would probably end up with about 3 players banned after most games if this were the case
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Coote pleads guilty to making indecent video of child. He’s likely to get a custodial sentence and be in prison before Christmas. I would not be surprised if he didn’t make it to his sentencing hearing in December tho.
