Tee Hee I was picturing exactly the same thing.

My concern was not with Balotelli's game as I accept he's not good enough and never will be.

My concern is why Rodgers actually brought him on, "We need a goal I know I'll bring on our failed everytime he's played striker, What's the worst that could happen ?"

I think Rodgers had penalty takers in mind. I'd also hazard a guess that he wanted to keep Coutinho and Sterling on the pitch and have a focal point to our attack. Unfortunately, Chelsea are very adept at defending.

We would have had 3 very good penalty takers on the pitch if it had got the that stage, in Gerrard, Balotelli and Lambert.

We had a few big men up front (Crouch and then Carroll) and they weren't really suited to our style of play. It's useful to have a plan B, but I don't really think Lambert or Balotelli are exactly in the same class as Crouch or Carroll. They're ineffective. I can see why we signed them, but we needed a quality striker who fits in with our style of play. We ****ed up in that respect during the summer and we haven't rectified the issue during this window. If Sturridge picks up another injury we can forget about challenging for a CL spot.

I don't even think Carroll is in the same class as Carroll.

I honestly can't remember disliking a Liverpool player as much as I do Mario. Everything about his selfish, lazy, shoot on sight style of play absolutely infuriates me.

I hope he never, ever plays for us again.
