Glad he got a goal but it doesn't change my opinion on him. He's still lazy and still displays the wrong attitude at the best of times.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Harsh when you consider he hardly makes the matchday squad.

The fact he doesn't I think answers that.

I think it's more that Rodgers is breaking him, like a horse! Think he's getting his head down hence walking down the tunnel.

Said to the fella next to me when he was coming on that I thought he was going to score - he had his head in his hands should have seen him when he did score - didn't know whether to be shocked or not so just went ****ing mental

he took his tap in well

he also showed that he can run around a bit. so then, if he can do it you have to wonder why he has been so reluctant to put in as much effort in his previous appearances.

i really hope that seeing the likes of ibe and can coming into the team and looking like seasoned veterans might make mario consider just how much he has been skiving about and make him realise its time to stop being an jokey playboy and start earning his cheque.
or maybe he knows that if he wants out he is going to have to show something to secure a deal.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I honestly don't think he did run around more than previously. I think people see things differently when a goal goes in. IMO he put more effort in against Chelsea but people just moan at him for shooting wide when he could have crossed.

Either way works for me. If we get our money back I'll be well happy and if he turns into this bargain buy we all hoped for then happy days.

I agree, I do think his attitude looked slightly better though. More determined.

Rightly so. Any person can only take so much ridicule from all areas before they change their attitude. Hopefully keeps improving.

Hope so. Rodgers also has a good track record with this sort of thing. He seems to give players a few games to get things right, but if they don't he will completely take them out (he's already done it with Can and Lovren this year as well) of the picture and work it out in training, then when they're ready he'll throw them back in. He's probably on his last chance already but we should at least try and get it working.

I agree with Slinks. I still think he's an absolute bellend. Sulking with the crowd when he scores and walking straight down the tunnel because we all think he's ****. You've been **** mate, that's why everyone thinks you're ****. Be a bit less **** and we'll think you're less ****.

To be honest though if it motivates him to play a bit less **** then he has been so far we all win.

I don't think he's a long-term (i.e. longer than this season) fit for us, unless he improves a whole lot more. The Spurs game is a good start. More of that please.

We should keep him just for Spurs home and away
