Mario Balotelli [On the Road to Ballon d'or)

I was being yes. Because from the off his first few touches were passes to sterling. They linked quite well. You see I think so many already had decided he was **** prior to tonight, so whatever poor shot or pass he made would have been jumped on. The bloke is low on confidence. When that happens to a player he doesn't play anywhere near his level. Yes? No? He's been out of the team, he gets put on in an extremely fast paced semi final away to the best team in the country? Yes? No? The eyes are on him. He chases about, trys his best to link up and loses a bloke at a free kick. Lots of attackers fail to pick up properly. Why was he on their most dangerous header of a ball? Yes he's frustrating. But there was effort there tonight if the blinkers came off to acvknowledge it. Was he effort when he may be should of crossed any worse then Henderson's ****ing awful effort? He is capable of scoring those goals. He has before. He's desperate to make it happens and he gets greedy. They used to say all good strikers were greedy. No not Mario. He's a cunt.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. He ain't good enough, and even if he was a good player he doesn't suit us. It was a risk but in the situation we were in I still think - despite being horrified at the original link - it was probably a risk worth taking, so late in the day and all. Move him on and forget about it.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Average at City, Average at Inter, quite good at Milan in terms of goals per appearances in a short time frame, Poor here so far, Did well for Italy occasionally before successive national team managers washed their hands of him.How this lad is on mega wages and keeps getting big clubs to buy him I'll never know.

I was excited about us signing him, thought perhaps he'd see this move as an opportunity to prove his doubters wrong. It was a gamble and it hasn't worked. I think/hope another team will take the risk on him and we won't lose too much money on him. I don't dislike him, but he annoys the **** out of me on the pitch! I'm done with him now, he should be offloaded this transfer window if possible.

I will say this, despite him being so unbelievably disappointing I would just like to see if he can kick on playing alongside Sturridge. I think they showed a bit of promising chemistry early on in the season."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

He will need to move a lot more than he did tonight.
Couple of times when he just stood still and took up space and another when Coutinho was breaking, could have played in Balotelli on the left but did all he could to not give him the ball shifting it to the right to a player in a worse position.
It was like Phil thought 'Well I could give him the ball but all he will do is cut inside and smash it 20ft over the bar so whats the point'

I don't want to see him in our shirt again. He doesn't have the discipline to do the right things and he doesn't have the skill to make anything happen. He holds onto the ball for too long and then does something really ****. It's just not working. He doesn't offer us anything useful, I don't see what Sturridge would gain from playing alongside Balotelli? I'd rather we played someone who offers something offensively or defensively.

My major concern with playing a two-striker formation is we might have to abandon the successful 3 man defence and risk getting overrun in midfield again. Might only work with Sterling partnering Sturridge.Originally posted by Tee View PostI will say this, despite him being so unbelievably disappointing I would just like to see if he can kick on playing alongside Sturridge. He does have the ability, as in the technical skills needed to kick a football. But his decision making is rubbish, and it seems that if he does something wrong he cannot immediately react to it, unless that reaction is to put his arms in the air or stand looking incredulousOriginally posted by TheElephantMan View PostI don't want to see him in our shirt again.
