Unrealistic targets are exactly that. Unrealistic. Some players are pointless to try for. This guy is a pretty in form player at the moment and making big headlines. There is no way he would come to the 5th placed club. But that is beside the point. The point I was making is if you go for someone, which the club clearly did, you dont come out the next day and say you were never really that interested in him. Thats the saddest thing I've ever seen.

If you dont want a winger, why go to the effort of speaking with the player and his agent and club, repeatedly? If you werent interested then you dont act interested and go straight for players we actually need like strikers. It's almost as if the club have zero clue what they're doing until a bunch of players they randomly went for turn them down first. And even then they dont have a clue. Balotelli being the perfect example of the clubs uselessness in signing players. The idea should of never been considered. If no one decent is available, wait till january. We've done that before in the past. They have no idea. Looking forward to the next wingers we get in discussions with only to say we were never interested.
