Yes, they reviewed it & deemed it not (intentional) handball..
Not intentional I would agree with, with the distance between the players, but I thought there was also a "natural silhouette" to consider as well, which is arms down and close to the body, not raised like that?
its a clear pen for me, but thats where the confusion comes in to it, had the ref's been reversed & the pitch ref been the VAR & voice versa, i bet the decision would have been different. Either in game the ref would have given it & the VAR not overturned or the VAR simply overturned it......
Thats a clear peno, the defender looks at the ball and puts his arm out, but then tucks his head away so at the moment of contact he looks like he is shielding himself.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
The two decisions in our game with Southampton were odd ones from VAR, surely Long(?) pulling down Bobby on the goal line when he would have a free header into an empty net is a clear pen. The Fabinho one on Ings is more subtle and it's not surprising the ref missed it in real time but I would really have expected VAR to give that as that too seemed fairly clear cut.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
