He's infecting everyone with his loser attitude. Has the guy won anything, ever?

Totally agree. Remember Italia 90??? The buzz around the whole country was electric. I was only a young fella but I remember hotels in Cork were selling tickets to the match being shown on a big screen in their conference centers and it was supposed to be amazing to be there.

I do kind of agree with the point that Roy Keane made a few times in the past though. That team did under perform considering the players that they had. The tactics were to lump it up to the likes of Cascarino.....when in reality they had a genuine golden generation of players. Not all of them were actually Irish but that didn't matter a **** but when you had the likes of McGrath, Moran, Whelan, Houghton, Townsend, Stapleton, Hughton, Sheedy, Aldridge, Staunton all playing at a high level in England at the time, then they could have played a bit of ball.

Getting back to Scotland, I agree with Buzzo. I think Robbo, Tierney, McGinn, McTominay are all good players. Gilmour is going to be a worldie too (sidenote, I would love for us to sign him but he seems to be a big chelsea fan. I think Jurgen could make him into a superstar). Armstrong is handy too.

The thing with Scotland is that even if they lose all games in this tournament, then hopefully getting to it will give them confidence and desire to return to the table again and again in the next few years. Get the seeding points up and go again. They should try to make sure Clarke stays there for another few years and build on the progress. Also, they should try to keep that core 5 or 6 players in the team for all games and get more and more experience playing with each other. So even meaningless friendlies, with the fans from all of their clubs saying they should pull out with an ingrown toenail or whatever, they should keep that core together and get miles on the clock. When you look at successful international teams that is what they have - big familiarity with each other.

Don't think it will happen but it would be epic if they won on Friday night. A Robbo winner including a Pickford clanger would be epic

Is this the worst quality Euros in recent memory? There are very few good international sides in Europe at the minute it seems.

That's the worst Spain side I've seen in ages.
                  Sweden even worse.
                  Croatia were ****.
Most average England squad I can remember.
Netherlands still a shadow of what they used to be.

I missed the Italy game and I know Portugal, France and Germany are still strong but honestly it feels very average in terms of quality so far.

Yeah, it definitely feels a bit low rent. I think the lack of crowds is not helping as that sometimes elevates the levels of play.
