Nope.
Ireland being dog**** to watch helps, but Ireland not being at a world cup is not a new thing for any Irish person.
Usually I watch the likes of Germany, Spain and France along with a few of the South American teams. But this year I am not going to bother with a minute of it.
Just think it reaches a point where enough is enough, and for me they have hot that tipping point with this world cup. So much about it is wrong and, for me, watching it at best is turning a blind eye to what has gone on and at worst condones it.
I'll just fight with Spud and Buzzo in here on the days there is a match on.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The LGBQT side of it is as valid as every other disgusting aspect of this world cup imo.
People died making the stadiums, roads and so on. Disgusting.
People die there because of their sexual preferences. Disgusting.
Funny how a lot of the wealthy folk from Qatar, UAE, Saudi and so on can suddenly ignore all the rules and laws that they enforce onto the regular folk in those countries when they are on their jollies here in the West.
Even LFC going to Dubai for training camps bugs me these days.
And to top it all there is the bones of a story here in Ireland about an associate of one of the crime cartels, the same one knee deep in boxing corruption, being filmed/photographed with a Premier league manager in VIP area and the scummer is a Liverpool "fan" who got VIP treatment at the CL finals we were at and also at Anfield.
The pics are being held up by legal red tape apparantly as the Premier league are involved as it is seen as being quite serious so all that was being said over here was that the criminal (he is named) is a Liverpool fan, had some sort of meeting with a high profile Premier League manager and got special VIP treatment at Anfield and at our CL finals.
Same journos talking about this here are some of the ones that first broke the Kinihan gang's ties to Irish and then International boxing.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

No idea what the socceroos are like these days, but I cannot imagine them fielding a worse team to watch than what Ireland does.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
