This type of thing is a much wider conversation and I don't believe the there should be "x" amount of such and such in every job. If you are adequately qualified for a job and are best suited for the position.. then good for you. The likes of Gabby Logan and Kelly Dalglish have been on the tv for years and I have never really heard much about them being a "female commentator or pundit". They simply are really good at what they do and people like that, it's good viewing.
Ultimately football fans want to hear good footballing knowledge and for pundits or panelists to break down the game and point out things we don't know or just be generally entertaining. We've all been critical of many male pundits in the past, ripping them a new in fact so it's not one sided either. Richards, Jenas, Hamann, Carra, Neville have all got torrents of abuse on here, nothing to do with them being dudes, just because of stupid **** they have said. Women pundits/commentators etc are more prevalent on the tv now than they ever were and they should be subject to the same criticism the rest of the pundits/panelists/commentators.
Equality
who's arsed?

You with me fellas?
