Eni Aluko is **** = OK opinion
All women commentators are shrill, whiny, and dull = A cunts opinion.
You can't be that ****ing stupid to not be able to tell the difference. To think it is a weird crusade not to hate on someone because of what set of ****ing genitals they have is utterly moronic. You're better than that. And if you're not, you need to improve as a person
Nice try, so you think female pundits shouldn't be subject to the same scrutiny as the lads?
That’s a red herring - I’m discussing how using gender as descriptor for females but not males is an example of inequality.
You’ve came out and said you don’t care which is fair enough, doesn’t really matter how many other examples you wheel out where you think you’re not being prejudiced.

Bender was referring to the women on the BBC world cup panel, not every woman and said he listens for tone and entertainment. I told you I was listen for knowledge of the game and also entertainment. I haven't watched much the BBC world cup coverage but enough to see what he meant. I was referring to the Rte panel and many of the pundits on Sky, BT etc that I have seen regularly. Neither of us was referring to all women but I think you guys know this. I was talking about these particular people, on these particular shows & how I value quality over gender. I referred to the host on RTE, Gabby Logan, Kelly Dalglish, Alex Scott. He or she is a descriptor usually used when you have no clue what the person's name is. I still have no clue who any of the women on Rte are but I know who most of the guys are, so I have to mention the word woman to narrow **** down. I know who Jill Scott is because she was on the jungle. If I see her on any panel now, I will say Jill Scott is good or Jill Scott is ****e because I know who she is.
There was a bloke on the Rte panel for the Cameroon vs Serbia game, never seen him in my life. I text my mates saying "Who the **** is yer man on the panel". Oh btw, he was also black, I didn't say "Who the **** is the black fella on the panel". I didn't have to as the other two were recognizable ex pros, he wasn't. They were also white but if I didn't know there names would I have said who's the black guy? Probably yeah, either that or who's yer man sitting in the middle which I think sounds weird. His name is Joey btw, still don't know who he is but if I see him on the panel again I will refer to him as Joey. Who's she? Who's he? What's the woman's name? What's that blokes name? Wtf is he or she talking about?
I get what you're saying but you're barking up the wrong tree. I mentioned earlier it's part of a wider conversation which it is.. just not on this thread imo. If anybody wants to be the defender of female pundits , make sure the one you are defending knows that Embryo is not a football that plays for Switzerland
I'm not trying to be the defender of female commenters, I've just been trying to point how the original statement could be seen as a negative generalisation towards women - there wasn't any inference that this was specifically regarding the BBC panel:
"These women match commentators utterly dull and boring....they can all fcuk off."
For someone who doesn't think this is an appropriate topic for this thread, you seem to have a lot to say about it
Leave Owen out of this, I find his comments quite insightful (especially when he talks about striker movement and finishing etc) but I will admit he needs to work on his tone a bit, liven it up. The others on your list are terrible male commentators I agree, and I can't believe you missed out McMananananaman.

I might be wrong but to me, it just seems like he saying he was content with previous panels who just happened to me blokes. I don't see anything wrong with what he is saying either his opinion and nothing controversial about it.

Ah I just didn't want to be rude, not reply and you think I was a woman hater. I'm already a conspiracy theorist down the rabbit hole Russian asset so I just wanted to explain myself. I think the initial comments have been wildly misconstrued and blown out of proportion which is in keeping with what is going on in society today. People are so quick to jump on things, even when there is nothing there
Eh yeah, nobody is writing women off
We are talking about very well paid male & female football pundits. There not doing laboring, farming or working in mines ffs. All they do is sit in a nice warm studio and talk about a game of football i'd give my right bollock to be paid to do that. That is all they do & if you are doing that and putting yourself out there whether it be male or female, guess what ... you will be open to scrutiny and criticism just like the lads.
Are the likes of Gabby Logan, Kelly Dalglish etc new to the scene, have I missed something? I thought they have been around for years and have been very well received? They have set the standard for women in football broadcasting. Alex Scott is another that is a good listen and has also being well received.
For me, they are the standard & have been great representatives for women on the scene, most of the other female pundits imo have been sub standard to put it mildly, especially recently. I just see it as nothing more than box ticking by the big broadcasters to avoid a lack of diversity /inclusivity backlash. Unfortunately when you do that & you have to have "x" amount of "x" you run the risk of a drop in quality. I personally don't care if they are men, women, black, white, blue, gay, straight etc. it doesn't matter, just do better. I am a paying customer, if I am paying big money to watch a show, I expect better. Same goes for some of the male pundits, do better it's simple as that. If a male pundit is commentating on a female dominated sport like netball, gymnastics or cheerleading instead of a female pundits ... don't be ****.
We pay big money to watch these sports channels & expect a certain standard that is often not delivered. Most of us have been saying this about alot of the male pundits for years Richards, Jenas (I am obviously writing black people off) Owen, Hamman etc. There is more women new to the scene, great. Just be better than the dudes you replace.
Mate you could give your meat & 2 veg & you’re still not gonna get paid to talk about anything based on your match day thread comments
