Didn't Beckham support Spurs as a kid (something to do with his grandad)?

With the amount of cash he's got already, i doubt an extra £2m or so makes much of a difference to him.

Say what you will, but he's always come across as professional, determined and someone who gives his all.

You dont like him, which is fine. But it seems to be clouding your judgement on him as a player.

Cant be fecked to keep arguing this with you, so i'll leave it there.

Don't think so, I know he trialled at West Ham or something, but I'm fairly sure he's always been a scum fan. His favourite player was always Bobby Charlton.

He'd certainly do a job for us, but would he be giving his all in every game because I don't think he would
          Justice for the 96

Is that why talks over a new contract have broken down because Real want a bigger cut from image rights?

You seem to know a lot about him bearing in mind how much you "say" you hate him.
I think you are a secret fan of his....

John Arne Riise was a Man U fan as a kid and we all know about our famous ex-Evertonians. Ask Carra if he's not committed!
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

It's a fair comment but I think it changes when you have won every domestic honour in the game.
If Beckham came to LFC do you really think he'd be hungry to win things for us?

Actually Reece is right, he was a Spurs fan as a kid.

                        Right, sign him on then

One of Shanks' friends was a Man Utd legend. A former Liverpool player as it happens too. Not that this is relevant in the slightest, but in the spirit of stirring things up and getting people riled....

Syd, you must appreciate that it does and should make a difference that he's played for Man Utd?

Matt Busby used to play for Liverpool

Isnt Beckham on record as saying that he could never play in OT in another premiership teams shirt
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

Apparently was supposed to become our manager when he took the Man Utd job instead (they were doing much better than us at the time) so he recommended Shanks be the one to take us on. Also heard Shanks recommended Denis Law to Busby
