P.s I dont think Crouch has that bad an appearance tbh, he's almost good looking.

None of those can offer quite the same as Crouch, he's as close to unique as you get for a footballer. Rafa was clearly looking for a particular type of player, and none of those fit the bill.

The players you've listed are more similar in style to Bellamy than Crouch, and he's still bedding into life at Liverpool, so cant be judged yet, but was cheaper than most of them.

I still dont think that any of those bar Van Persie and Anelka would offer as much to the team as a whole as Crouch does, and neither would work as hard. Anelka should have been a Liverpool player a few years ago, you'll find few who disagree with that. Van Persie was also a gamble and untested in the prem.

Huntelaar would flop in the prem. Klose is getting past his peak and Darren Bent is more than proven in them prem with a garbage side.
