I think you have unrealistic expectations of people, and a simplistic attitude towards the importance of individual needs being met within a team frameworkOriginally posted by Diego View Postif gerrard cares more about weather he playes on the right or in the middle than he does about playing for liverpool or another club, then he free to go imo...

Oh come on Shaggy mate...Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostAnd me. If he doesn't like it, **** him I say.
That said, we’ve done this debate to death and we know who stands where on the subject.
Gerrard wants to play CM because it's the position he performs best in. And Gerrard at his best is good for LFC.
Under no circumstances should we allow a situation whereby he ends up leaving. He's about a million times better than ANY other player we've got.
He must never be allowed to go.

Free to go? So you'd let him walk away?Originally posted by Diego View Postif gerrard cares more about weather he playes on the right or in the middle than he does about playing for liverpool or another club, then he free to go imo...

about how he got transfered to real, he refused to play for santos any more and threatened them a lawsuit under the employment law if they didn't let him go, and they did eventually...Originally posted by DJS View PostSorry, what was the point about Robinho?"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Oh right, cheers for that.Originally posted by Diego View Postabout how he got transfered to real, he refused to play for santos any more and threatened them a lawsuit under the employment law if they didn't let him go, and they did eventually...
I thought someone was saying that he'd played for more than 2 clubs in a calendar year, which would've been a useful precedent for us, in this case.

If he's out of form and potentially out of the team we might not get a considerable bid for him.Originally posted by Diego View Postfor a conciderable sum of money ofcourse
I'm just saying, he's our best player and to not use him effectively is poor management IMO.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

It comes down to Sissoko/Mascherano or Pennant. If you prefer Pennant, fine. I don’t understand it for one minute, but fine.
I realise Gerrard would prefer to play in the middle. I’d prefer to work fewer hours.
Tough **** Stevie la. Ideally, in the long-run, yes, let’s buy a proper right winger who is good enough to grace the Liver Bird. Until then, we ain’t got one and by Gerrard is the best option there by a COUNTRY MILE.
A midfield of Garcia/Sissoko or Mascherono/Alonso/Gerrard is infinitely stronger than Garcia/ Sissoko or Mascherono or Alonso/Gerrard/Pennant. No debate. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

IMO, you do what's best for the club. Gerrard is unplayable in the centre. So play him there.
Garcia can play wide right for half a season, no problem with that. Then buy a proper RM in the summer.

i agree with you to an extent, i think most of the time he should play in the middle, but against big teams he can be more of an attacking threat on the right, and if he is on form as he was last season, i see nothing wrong with mixing it up middle on the right, another thing is that i recon we will play more often with a 3 man midfield now after rafa has started playing 3-5-2...Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostIf he's out of form and potentially out of the team we might not get a considerable bid for him.

i love him do bits, but rafa is the gaffer and i respect that cause i think he'll take us to where we belong..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
