    Alarm bells should be ringing.
I think Kia Joorabchian owns his contract and is the selling party in this case. He's looking for more money, same as any selling [club], Mascherano has no say in the matter.

I think you're underestimating the impact this lad could have, and not really sure what your issue is with really.

We get 4 quality CM's to watch, Rafa get's 4 quality CM's to choose from, Mascherano gets to come to LFC (don't forget it's only a loan) and see if he can make it big in one of Europes top 16 teams.

In a way he's lucky to even be able to come to another team with all the Fifa regulations and what not.
I dont have any 'issue' with it, i just dont think he'll get to play much and given that this is the reason that's being given for leaving WHU, it just seems a bit odd to me.

Surely he'd have to have the same confidence in dethroning the WHU CMs then, wouldnt he?

        Doesnt seem to though.

As i say, just a little bit odd for me, but we'll see.

If you had the chance of moving to Google instead of a lesser company such as Microsoft, would you let that chance pass on ?

I'm sorry, I have to correct you, you are wrong.

I'm worried that South Americans don't traditionally settle in this country, especially when they can't break into one of the worst teams in the premiership, that is true. However, a loan deal overrides this worry to some extent.
I'm worried that it will mean Gerrard ismoved out to the right hand side by this deal which is a huge mistake as I see it, others disagree. I think it is another example of the fact that we can't find a decent right midfielder so we sign another central midfielder in order to use Gerrard on the right. It sends out the wrong signals to Gerrard in my opinion and will lead to him getting pissed off again.
I'm worried because this lad was all full of praise for West Ham when he signed, yet 4 months later he's using the press to whinge about them.
I'm worried because he is trying to engineer a better deal for himself, it doesn't convince me of his commitment.
I'm a bit pissed off that so called rules can be neglected so easily.

I doubt Microsoft or Google pay employees to sit around.

              Daft example.

I would move to Google based on the challenges they'd offer me buddy, not just because of the salary. My example has credence.

Well I've read reports from the time of his West Ham transfer saying west ham own 100% of his contract.

The contract has a huge selling on percentage of around 90% to Corrinthians who are owned by this company.

It doesnt, because football clubs arent the same as any other corporation.

Microsoft and Google dont 'rotate' staff and give some workers the day off, while others are hard at it.

his representatives are looking for more money doesn't say he is, which aint suprising considering the people who brought him here.

can't see what you've got against the player comming.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

But what's the point of a football club ? Winning isn't it ? So, by providing competition for places, you increase the chance that every player is playing close to his potential and ensure against complacency.

It's just the semantics that change buddy.

You've obviously never worked for a big corporation. All these things happen where I do and have worked. Especially in IT, so I see where Fredo is coming from.

It was still a daft example/comparison to make.

Mercenary player who can't get onto West Ham's subs bench wants to change the rules.

                              That's my thinking.
