Time to kop the truth Kelvin

Article in the Mirror top from Brian Reade:-

TIME TO KOP THE TRUTH KELVIN
    Brian Reade

MEMO to Kelvin MacKenzie: If you're doing nothing at 5.15 tonight why not tune in to the Liverpool v Arsenal game on BBC1, where you will find 12,000 Kopites expressing what they think of your persistent campaign to rubbish the findings of Lord Justice Taylor's Report into the Hillsborough Disaster.

It will last a full six minutes. Or as long as 96 fans were left by police to die inside cages while an FA Cup tie played on in front of them in April 1989. But I don't need to remind you of the details, as you know them all. Even though you were 200 miles away at the time.

Because some anonymous Yorkshire copper who was ordered to deflect attention away from his force's culpability, span you a pack of lies, which you gladly published as The Truth, and which cost your newspaper dear.

Perhaps you still loathe yourself for being a submissive lackey who mouthed a false apology at Rupert Murdoch's behest or maybe you're too vain to accept hard evidence and let it go.

Either way you're still telling audiences, like the one in Newcastle last month, The Truth about Hillsborough was that Liverpool fans got tanked up, stampeded a gate, killed their own, and as they lay dying, pissed on them and stole their belongings.

I just hope the Kop's tribute to you evokes a fraction of the anger and pain your continued lies do to the many people still living with the harrowing consequences of British football's most tragic day.

But I don't think it will. Which, Mr Mackenzie, is the saddest Truth of all.

I think they will gloss it over but we'll see, it will be good if they don't as it will raise the whole profile of it all which is what we need, make the country see our passion for seeking justice. Although I am from Liverpool I now live in Manchster and although alot of our scum friends vevour in Mackenkzies comments there are alot that see him for the scumbag he is and also feel alot of anger towards him and police authority involved, and if the bbc do show it then I'm sure more people will follow suit all across the country, hillsborough was a shocking day, I was only 11 and was sat in the west stand even to this day there are so many things that I can picture vividly and they aren't nice memories. I know alot of people who were affected by hillsborough through either being there or having family/friends there, Mackenzie says nothing about the police pushing our fans back into the leppings lane end when they were trying to climb out or preventing them from going to get advertising hoardings to carry the dead/injured on. A disaster is a good word to describe that day as eveyting that went on from start to finish was exactly that, yes there were fans who were pissed and yes there were fans without tickts, and yes I'm sure alot of them were trying to get into the ground, but come on this is not a reason to blame our fans as it happened at every game in those days, at the end of the day if the police had handled it all properly none of it would have happened. As for the stories of our fans pissing on and stealing from the dead, I ain't having it, they are the words of a very sick man indeed. Its not just the kop who need to give it to Mackenzie today and the ****ing sun its everyone liverpool fan in the ground (and arsenal fans also if they wish!), the bigger the profile of it all the better, we need to make more people aware of the slur that is being put against our name by this scumbag and raise the support behind the whole campiagn in general.

              Well said that man
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Fantastic article, top man Brian Reade
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                  Mine angry and defrauded young?

I find it very hard to put my feelings on this into words. I am not from Liverpool so I´m not as close to this as you locals.
But I watched this life on TV and saw people die, and that is something you never forget.
And to have this man still around scraping the wounds. I cant even imagine what that is like for the people closest to this.

So all I can say is, rest in peace.

                      You´ll never walk alone.

                        Right. I'm ****ing raging here.

I have been receiving emails from a seriously ignorant Man United mate of mine. I can honestly now say he is an ex-mate. I just don't know how to respond without flying off the handle.

                        Warning: this may offend/upset/anger.

the protest made me sick to my stomach..

what sort of justice are you looking for ? in all honesty, do they not see it was THEIR fault that the tragedy occured ?

                        pathetic and a disgrace
i stand by my thoughts on this... an official enquiry was held and yet its not good enough because someone else didnt bend over and take all the blame up the arse to appease the masses of merseyside..

the blood is on the hands of those ticketless scum bags who turned up and pushed and pushed and then did a runner after the event. the families of the victims should have a word with their neighbours, not any police force.
If anyone is offended by the ****ing bile this prick has written, then I sincerely apologise - I am deeply offended too. I’m not a violent man but if he was in front of me now I’d honestly smash his face in.

Bugger that, making his address public would be fair though.

Serious question and a touch of advice needed – would you carry on being friends with someone who spouts the sort of **** shown above? I’ve exploded at him this afternoon and have been emailing back and forth for over two hours. The cnut, despite me throwing stacks of evidence back in his face, refuses to change his stance. He’s arguing with the wrong bloke here cos he is seriously ill-informed and he misguidedly thinks he should be toeing the Manc line, whereas I’m aware of all the facts. Despite putting him in his place ten times over, he’s still in my face with jibes and insults.

Would you stand for it? I’m on the brink of telling him I never wanna hear from him again. Been mates for over 10 years, although not what you’d call best mates. These sort of arguments occur every so often and I can’t be doing with it. I’m starting to seriously hate him, borne mainly out of footballing differences.
