Lets face facts here, our forwards as a bunch are not quite good enough. Crouch, Kuyt & Bellamy are all fine players but do not have that extra special ability i feel we need to challenge for the title. None of them are as good as Rooney, Drogba, Owen or Henry, or a whole host of players plying their trade in Spain & Italy. If selling Bellamy, Kuyt or Crouch enables us to buy a better quality player then i'm all for it.
    Can't disagree with that.

Makes no sense to sell Bellamy just as he's finding his feet and proving to be a real asset.

I agree with most of that. The only thing that I disagree with is what you said about Kuyt. I think he'll trun out to be an excellent player for us and wouldn't sell him any time soon.

And you base this on what exactly?

Poor goalscoring record generally and lack of goals at LFC, mainly. Not been able to do it consistently in the top flight. Add dodgy knees, constant whingeing, getting caught offside too often and having a bad reputation and a history of a bad attitude.

Just not a good enough player in terms of standard or delivery. Same goes for Crouch and Fowler.

I'd let him go for 9mil. thats a 3mil profit, and with that we can pick up Bent right now as another striker. then in the summer when no9 calls it a day, we can bring in Villa/Torres whoever. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to have the back four, then 2 from alonso/Mascherano/Sissoko sitting in front of them, with Gonzales, Pennant, Gerrard behind Kuyt in a 4231 type structure.

I cant see how people think bellamy is not good enough for Liverpool, Bellamy has not only been signed by the manager of Liverpool but he has also captained his country, he is passionate and wants to win and I would love some of the other players to have a look at that

That's our problem isn't it? Fowler is the only "goalscorer" we have, all the other 3 are supporting strikers aren't they, so when we replace Fowler with <insert name of choice>, the other 3 supporting strikers will be used as the situation & opposition merits the selection, with possibilities.

How long has he been at Liverpool, not very,I think it is unfair to expect goals to fly in when a player first gets a club with being in new surroundings, tactics, players(better but still new) and also we dont know what Rafa's told him to do like it looks like hes told s.g to be a bit more disciplined at the moment, he might of told bellamy to use his pace to run into the spaces to create more openings for others but we will never know that

Kuyt is a good player but for me he falls into the same bracket as Bellamy & Crouch, good but not very good. If you were the manager of Man Utd, arsenal or Chelsea you wouldn't really fear any of our forwards. They are all good players but you wouldn't fear them in the way we fear Rooney, Drogba or Henry. Kuyt, Bellamy & Crouch are all good enough for LFC but we need a talisman upfront, a top class forward for Bellamy, Kuyt or Crouch to play 2nd fiddle to, a player who other top class teams would fear. i'm not sure if someone like Villa is such a player but if he is then we should sacrifice Bellamy, Crouch or kuyt to raise the funds to get him.
