HE is the one who is typical of every other fickle fan around the country
WE are the ones who applaud other teams when they play well
who stick by our teams through thick n thin
we sing ynwa whether your winning or losing
through the wind and the rain
    to the clear blue sky
    this fella has no clue.

I'd call it support and class.

its why a lot of players like paying at Anfield cos of the fans.

Walcot got an ovation and applauded the whole stadium.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

sounds like hes never kicked a ball in his life and its the prime example of why there is just too many places to get **** opinions on football these days. 20 years ago hed have said that in a bar and been left in a wheelie bin with his coat on back to front. at least thats how we'd have done it in belfast.

instead nowdays he can get smart in front of a computer screen.

One of the comments on the comments page of that article talked about "how liverpool fans never criticise".

Maybe I should invite him to read through the archives here .

That's the way i see it anyway.
Mate....sing the first line of the song, better still, go to a match and sing it.

Then think about what you just did, think about what you just said/sang and contemplate what it actually means.

Our club, probably more than any other, has had it's share of storms and golden skies, hence the reason the song fits so well.

In Istanbul, I was livid with our piss poor display, slagging off Rafa, Harry and others, however I still belted out the song at half time with everyone else.

Last night (just like Saturday night), I was in the Anny Rd end, livid, frustrated at Rafa, Dudek, Paletta and Garcia, but still stayed to the final whistle and sang YNWA.

The lads won't be happy with their performance, neither will Rafa and they're getting duly slated everywhere you look today. However, we're the supporters of the club, it's our duty to support them, through the wind and the rain. If we don't, you don't deserve any more golden skies.

                Done!!!!

Listen i'm not slagging off the fans for singing YNWA, it's our song and is a massive part of the Club but singing it after we concede goal like last night is in my opinion ripping the piss, ok we back our team to the hilt but ffs there comes a time when they don't deserve YNWA to be sung when last night was one of them.

Istanbul was completely different cos AC Milan just outplayed us in that first half completely but the difference was all the players were giving 100%, it was a European Cup final and the lads had went above all our expectations by even getting to the final.

The point about being a supporter is you stick with your club - thorugh the wind and rain, taking the ups and downs (dreams tossed and blown) with equal grace. A fair weather, or chelsea supporter, can't see why you should do that.

The word loyalty should be added to his lexicon, and aphrase above his desk proudly stating "when the going gets tough - I will **** off out of it."

The man is obviously a complete ******.

Did Lee Peltier try his best last night? Did Danny Guthrie? Who knows, maybe Dudek tried his best but it wasn't anywhere near good enough. I'd rather sing YNWA, even if it was only for the handful of players that did actually try, rather than boo them.

The young lads did yes but no way did we did the whole team play their hearts out last night compared to the first half against milan, we were just outclassed in that half.

The point I'm trying to make is summed up by JRG further up. I thought I'd made it pretty well in my first post, but it seems not.

I'm entitled to my opinion and my opinion is that it's, YNWA was sang besically after every goal, cringeworthy stuff and what's with the constant singing of 'justice for the 96' about?
Not disrespecting the campaign, i'm all for it and i signed the petition re MacKenzie but i assumed the protest was just to be done on saturday and that was that?
Lose it's appeal surely and a few other posters on other lfc forums have said the same thing.

I think JRG was referring to the bloke who wrote the original article not you.

Anyway, I don't remember YNWA being sung after every goal. It was sung at the start, half-time and at the end, from what I can remember.

The singing of Justice for the 96 wasn't constant either, although I can see the point about maybe diluting the message if it's sung all the time.
