To see if he will come back the same as before he got injured??

Playing silly bugger with Bayern as they know the German league isnt that rich so they can get a even lower price maybe?

look mate, youve obviously NEVER seen him play.....the fact that you are labeling him as Veron mach2 is laughable. He is nothing like Veron, he tackles, and is not an attacking midfielder. Riquelme would be Veron mach2.

with the movement Bellamy and Kuyt provide..Mascherano would be able to play the way he does with the national team. We would see alot more football along the ground, no more long balls up field to Crouch when he is playing.

you can't say it's certain he will flourish with Gerard and Kuyt. That's a complete guess on your part. If he's that good, why are we the only team in for him? If he's that good, why did he end up at West Ham and not get a game.
            You're guessing.

and look at what a great move it has been for young SWP Mascherano has stated he is in the most important time of his career and he needs to be playing regulary....why would he go to Chelsea, who have 4 world class CM's.....

if he is good enough for to be one of the first names on the team sheet for Argentina, who i would rate as a top 3 team in world football, then he is good enough for us.

Yes I am, but I didn't ever say it was certain that he won't flourish, just said it was my opinion he won't settle in the premiership.

By the looks of it he hasnt at Ice Ham Utd nor has he been in the team he could tell you that if he aint good enough for Ice Ham then what makes us think he should be in the Liverpool team.

Also it could be said that he is very unhappy at Ice Ham and is just looking to get out, and the Hammers wont play him as he isnt part of their plans for the run in.

Unfortunately we don't play in the same competitions as the Argentinian national team, thereby making the comparrison totally redundant.

The same people who want Maschareno based on his performances for Argentina were also saying you can't judge Kuyt based on his perfomances for Holland.
You can't have it both ways, I don't believe international performance has any bearing on likelihood of flourishing in the premiership.

if you look at it that way, then every transfer is a guessing game. Whose to say Henry wouldnt be **** if we signed him, or Zidane.

their is something fishy at westham...a hidden agenda. Could be the fact that Tevez and Masch were bought in by Kia Joooawhatsisname, who failed in his attempt to buy the club....the new owner wants them both out. Its got nothing to do with being no good as a player. It politics.

im not guessing, ive watched him many times for Argentina. He is a classy player, and his style of play would suit us. He is a deep lying playermaker, and is vital to the style that Argentina play. If it wasnt for him Riquelme wouldnt be aloud to have the freedom he does.

Nowadays IMO International football does not matter to the top flight footballer of today

Every signing is a risk and a chance you have to take i guess.

Im sure the scouts and Rafa have had a good luck at him

Apart from the world cup I've never seen this lad play.

He did look good for Argentina, but he's playing in a team with a style of play that he's suited to. The Premiership is completely different to that. I'd say better players than him - Morientes for example - have failed in this League, and what does it say about him that struggling West Ham won't even play him, but will use Nigel Quashie or Mullins instead of him?

Still if it goes through it's only on loan, so if it doesn't work out no harm done.
