I still remember Wright getting the second goal against PSG with about 10 mins left. I thought we were going to do it as well.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          aye

Got a few stories about Wright. I work with a journo who covers Chester games as a freelancer. Doesnt seem to be a nice man.

          Good player though

I nearly cried that night. It seemed like we had fifty chances.

I thought Scales was great. Very calm on the ball as was Babb in my opinion. The 3 at the back relaunched Wright but destroyed Babb and Scales IMO.
Babb would be up there in a list of all-time worst players in Liverpool's history. Him and Sean Dundee.

Scales was very good, Babb nothing special imo.
But they both suffered because the team was unbalanced in midfield.

I know he was playing out of position but he has to be the most improved player ever.
I think Sami shades it, just.
                  Then Carra.

We have to let them finish their carriers before we decide who is better IMO.

He retired at the end of the 89-90 season.

And when did we last win the league?

                          We should bring Hansen back.

I thought he retired in the winter of 90-91. I am pretty sure as he left the same week as Dalglish.

Hasen's contract expired in July 1990 and his last game was on the 28/4/90 against QPR

Hansen made fewer appearances the following season as his persistent knee problems continued to affect his fitness, but he still captained Liverpool to another League title, which made it eight individually for Hansen, a record which stands to this day alongside ex-Liverpool team-mate Phil Neal and Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs. The club came close to the "double" yet again, but lost a thrilling FA Cup semi final 4-3 to Crystal Palace. Hansen tried to continue the following season but the knee got the better of him, and he retired in 1991.

Hansen is regarded by many people as the most skillful centre half in the history of British football. Famous for breaking from defence to set up attacks, his game was majesti and he seemed to glide through games.

On 4th October 2006 Hansen once again pulled on a Liverpool shirt playing in a charity match for the Red's Legends team against a Celtic Legends team.
