He played his last game in 89/90 season but retired 91
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if hansen had been italian his name would be up there with baresi, maldini, nesta - he is the template for intelligent, skilfull, hard as nails defending. carra is a legend but not in the same class as hansen as a footballer. rio ferdinand needs to watch videos of hansen for about two years non-stop in an attempt to make his gutless simian brain confront the reality of his c-u-n-t-i-ness

Bit unfair on monkeys to say Rio is the same level as them ain't it.

I thought John Scales was very under rated. He was very reliable. Shame for him was that he played with Ruddock and Babb mostly, though a spell with Mark Wright too.

On the flip side (this should stir people up), the common opinion amongst non Liverpool fans is that Carragher is the most overrated player in the Premiership. Apparently no-one else thinks he's anywhere near as good as us.

High profile games against Arsenal haven't done him any favours.

Carra has only been playing at CB for a few years now. Hyypia has been OUTSTANDING from day one and is technically a superior defender - one of the top defenders in Europe in recent years.

Carra might possibly go on to change my mind somewhat, but as things stand, I'd have to go with Hyypia as the best CB we've had in recent times.
