FIFA wouldn't have a chance if we took this case to court.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

No, they can't. FIFA must follow EU laws, just as anyone else.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostBut they CAN stop it.

West Ham fans picking up the story:

FIFA have agreed to relax the 'three club' rule in order to allow Javier Mascherano to join Liverpool.
Mascherano has been linked with a move to Liverpool since December although it was thought unlikely that the deal would proceed due to a FIFA ruling that states a player may not play (full time) for more than two clubs in any one season.
However it has been revealed tonight that Liverpool have finally succeeded in their quest to sign the Argentinian midfielder, with the deal set to be officially announced sometime tomorrow.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez told the Daily Mail:
"We have an agreement to take him on loan for 18 months then we have an option to sign him permanently.
"He is a top class player and the only question is whether he can play to his level in England. But I know he can play a lot better than he did at West Ham."
Mascherano's disastrous spell with United saw him make just three starts in his five months with the club. His continued absence has incensed supporters who have been baffled by his lack of inclusion in both Alan Pardew and Alan Curbishley's squads.

Well if they go strictly by EU laws then any footballer could just quit his job/club and move to another job/club for free.Originally posted by AFII View PostNo, they can't. FIFA must follow EU laws, just as anyone else.

Rafael Benitez is hoping that Argentinian ace Javier Mascherano will become a Liverpool player subject to a successful appeal from FIFA and believes the holding midfielder would be a very useful asset for his team.
The Reds are still waiting to hear whether their appeal to FIFA to allow West Ham's Mascherano to sign for the Reds will be successful, but Benitez is quietly confident the deal will go through even if the transfer window deadline expires.
"We are waiting to hear from FIFA but I hope we can sign Mascherano, even if the transfer deadline passes," commented Benitez.
"He is a player with a good character, good mentality and personality and has the qualities we need. I knew about this player when he was with River Plate. He was playing in their reserve team but already in the national team. That shows you the quality and the character of the player.
"I have been speaking with one of his former manager's and he was talking really well about him as a player, a person and a professional.
"He had a good World Cup and is a good player. Some people might say 'Why do we need another midfielder when we have Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko and Zenden?' Well, the only holding midfielder is Xabi Alonso and Mascherano will be another option. If we are successful he will sign for at least a year and a half and he has the quality to play well in the Premiership."

Well most footballers are under a signed contract which prohibits them from taking another job without penalty.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostWell if they go strictly by EU laws then any footballer could just quit his job/club and move to another job/club for free.
