Just an end in sight would be good for starters.
It's got to the stage where it is all a bit farcical. To be honest they should have looked into the initial transfer when it happened or not done anything until the end of the season and then reviewed future policy.

Considering the possible ramifications (including the talked of points deductions for West Ham) you would think that at the very least a date for a hearing or report would have been set.

At least the blue****e has to keep shut about this since they signed Fernandez on loan, and he was on a similar deal.

            Mascherano is training with Reds
            Feb 6 2007

            by Chris Bascombe, Liverpool Echo

JAVIER Mascherano has arrived on Merseyside to start training with his new team-mates, as Rafa Benitez still awaits the all-clear to play the Argentinian.

Mascherano was at Melwood yesterday, with Benitez believing it’s only a matter of time before he can hand a debut to the 22-year-old.

The Premier League have been discussing whether to allow the midfielder to play for Liverpool after FIFA gave the all-clear for the 18-month loan transfer to go ahead.

Benitez said today: “Mascherano is here now. We are still waiting for an answer but we think it will be okay for him to train with the squad. He needs to be able to train so he can be ready to play when he’s needed.”

Numerous players are on international duty this week, which will disrupt preparations for the trip to Newcastle this weekend.

Benitez hopes spirits will remain intact, despite slipping further back in the race for a top two place.

“We must remember we’ve been on a good winning run, so although it’s disappointing to draw a game at home, we must remain confident,” said Benitez.

“It was disappointing to draw, but we have been playing well.

“Things can change very quickly. In two or three weeks’ time the situation could be much different from now. All we can do is keep focusing on winning as many games as possible.”
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

The thing is we'll need him in the squad for Saturday. Even if he doesn't start Xabi is suspended so we could do with Javier on the bench at least.

Absolutely. Momo never appeared on the bench at all last week, as it turned out, so it wouldn't be ideal to chuck him straight in at Newcastle. Clearly we're gonna need him or Masher to start alongside SG in the middle.

                      Well, there's Bolo..........
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

There could be complicated leagal proceedings at stake, that is why the Premier League are taking so long with a decision. If say by some miracle, we won the league by a point, with Mascherano having played a big part, you can bet your bottom dollar that Ferguson would be ordering United solicitors to do something about the way we were allowed to sign him. Im not talking about the three clubs rule, im talking about his registration braking Premier League rules by being owend by a third party.
The same way if Westham avoid relegation the relegated teams will be making threatening claims against the Premier League and Westham.
I wouldn't be supprised if the Premier League decided that Mascherano could not join us until the end of the season, when they change the small print.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

The thought of Bolo in the team, especially at CM, is to much to bear. It'd be nice to have Stevie, Momo and Javier in the match squad but the way the prem are messing about it seems unlikely.

Not to mention Benitez "Tapping him up" in his own appartment and Masch passing a medical with us and Curbishly not even knowing it!
