Personally, I would argue that half a ****ing season constitutes rather more than a "spell".
In my opinion, 19 games WITHOUT ONE GOAL is a ****ing calamity.

And if I see one more divvy work out his goal/ game ratio for the second half of the season "if you ignore his first little dry spell", I will SCREAM.

Whenever Crouch is shipped out, I'll admire him even more.

Crouchy is a good player.

He needs to do some work on getting power into his headers and improve his all round finishing as well.

What i like about him is his hold up play.

Unlike Emile "head the ball anywhere" Heskey, Crouchy finds a Red shirt 90% of the time.

He has planty of skill for a big man though.

But yes, i think we need a big, strong centre forward who has ALL the attributes in question.

Crouch does the job Rafa wants and he, Rafa, a world class manager knows and can see that.

Hence, he is good enough to put on the Liverpool FC shirt and I believe he has proved that already.

Point taken about Diouf, but he was bought as a striker and played enough games as a striker to demonstrate how utterly useless he was there.

Heskey could have been good had he built on his first season, but he didn't and his performances for the next three or four years were diabolical - far far worse than anything Crouch has served up.

Saunders was absolutely ****ing ****e.
