**** em! They are a bit too highly strung for my liking. We don't want people who are gonna "have a funny" every time something doesn't go their way! This is business - not some fairytale.
      I live with Steptoe.

We dont know the ins and outs of each deal but lets say DIC did takeover.

Do you remember that leaked document about selling in 7 years?

        Still want them in?
        exactly

these could be in it for the long term.

all the talk of them going bankrupt, but 15 years later still millionaires.

as taking america by storm, a certain Beckham is raising the profile and therefore we should benifit from that
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Assuming that document is true, then probably not. But DIC said numerous times since it was leaked that they had no plans for selling the club. Again that could be spin, I dont know.

DIC had someone as part of their bid who was a genuine fan. Parry seemed quick to point out DIC were fans and understood the heritage of the club. As far I know neither Gillett or Hicks are Liverpool fans, or know anything about the club. Doesn't that concern you about what their motivation is, what they might do at the first sign of trouble? I'd sooner trust someone who has the club at heart than someone who doesn't

That's true. The rumours were Adu had been massively hyped in America and although a good player he was nowhere near what was expected or required.

I'm not sure being a fan matters that much. ffs Morgan is a fan and I wouldn't trust him ONE LITTLE BIT

No chance of that happening. A deal has been agreed with Gillett.

I'm not ruling anything out after the Stevie G U-turn. I just don't believe they will come back.

The only thing that can make them come back is that we are the best club to buy at a fair price.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I don't think that Gillett will have the finances to takes forward though, not like DIC. They may have come up with more up front, but for the longterm I just can't see it.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I'm liking kopdan's enthusiasm and optimism this morning!! We were all gutted when DIC pulled out but if we are getting Gilett (and its still an 'if') then we are just going to have to get over it and move on and look to the future.
We are getting our stadium and (hopefully) moving the club forward. I am prepared to give the new owner a chance.

**** it - its Friday, its sunny, I am getting drunk tonight and we are beating Everton tomorrow!!

Money. I don't have any trouble with that.

                              Football is huge business now.

I find it bizarre that you would take the word of them over people at our club.
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
