Plus I would imagine there's a chance he will be staying with the club in some capacity

It's not been the smoothest of rides but he's a RED, and as AF says he always had the best interests of the club at heart - as opposed to his own best interests.

I'll always be grateful to him for #5 and also for bringing Benitez to the club which made it all possible, when we could so easily have ended up with some frankly horrifying alternatives.

Im sure he'll still be around and he wont go away empty handed.
