No announcement yet.
Thank you for thinking about the best for the club Moores.
It happens in business though sometimes people outbid you thats a fact of life, theres no right nor wrong in it. The buyer sets the buying levels opinion on whether thats too high or low matter little. For your information the current trading vale is in the regio of £3500 per share a premium price is ALWAYS paid during a takeover
Listen I think DIC was presented as a good deal but lets be honest there where things mentioned that got a few people worried (the document stating they would sell on within 7 years for a start)
Neither you nor I can do nothing to stop it Gilletts come in and to be honest I'm not even sure he is the major player. I think Hicks has made the difference
I've heard plenty of rumours over the last few days (my wife works in a Liverpool financial firm) and if even half of them where true DIC are as much at fault for this going.
Blackstones told me they could be had for £3000 in August....
I just don't believe Moores is trying to get as much money for himself and would be happier for the prospective buyer to spend his money on infrastructure and team rather than giving the cash to shareholders.
And something just doesn't ring true in all this business.
Can't wait for it to be concluded though!

Two weeks ago Rick Parry was telling anyone that would listen DIC were the perfect people to take control of the club's long term future and that a deal was days, if not hours, away. Two weeks later and there has been a simply astonishing and suspicious turn around, that we're supposed to just meekly accept, because Parry has come out and said 'trust us'.
I'm sorry, but anyone who is taken in by that is a fool. There's a million and one questions still to answered.
However.....at this present moment in time, all we can do is cross our fingers, take a deep breath and hope for the best, these two yanks should be given the benefit of the (substantial) doubt and be granted the absolute backing of the Liverpool fans, until it becomes quite clear what their intentions are.
It saddens me that football has progressed to such an extent that a local man who loves his club is completely and utterly out of depth in the modern game. I dread the day I am sitting in the 'Addidas Arena', looking down on the pitch from a distant height, clasping my £45 ticket and stretching my legs out, two massive TV screens on either side of the pitch and flashing advertising all around me...as the stadium announcer screams 'Gooooaallll' and the cheerleaders dance around me.
That said, 17 years without the League title is simply unacceptable.
We are constantly told we 'must move on', but, despite my young age, there's a large chunk of me that wants to stay put.
The line between adapting for success in the modern game and maintaining the soul of Liverpool football club is wafer, wafer thin.
Thank you for everything you have done for the club Mr. Moores.
That's harsh, there is only 1 CEO who is head & shoulders above the rest hence why the chavs went for him before anyone else.
Parry is at least as good as the rest, and who would be able to do his job any better, he is only as good as the length of leash given to him by the chairman.
What we need is a decent head of marketing, that's whose head should roll.
That is important but IMO i think he could do a hell of alot moe for us when i see Kenyon and what he done for Man Utd and even Chelski. I think he's to comfortable at Liverpool and to friendly with Moores in terms of a chairman and Chief Exec relationship IMO
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

I wouldn't bat an eyelid if Kenyon drowned in the river Thames tomorrow.

The only reason why id like Parry to go is for his lack of off the field work or lack or work he has done. We should have cleaned up after the Champs league in terms of Marketing but we just stayed still
Maybe if they got a marketing man in at the club it would be better as you say

bit unfair on Parry
Kenyon has an easy job at Chelsea and at Utd, his hands were rarely tied. If anything, I'd stick Kenyon in charg at LFC and see how he coped then. You'd be surprised. He'd have to do some work.
"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"
