I totally understand where you coming from. Gillete will have to earn it and there is nothing wrong with that.
Liverpool supporters want the best for the club because we are special & if Gillete can chat to a few at Anfield then mant will change their minds about him.

I don't want just to have a nice guy as chairman, Moores was a fan and a top bloke but also had various shortcomings as the owner.
What's more important to me isn't having a fan's man as owner who walks around listening to the people like some politician but someone that can deliver our dreams and ambitions.
The EPL isn't a miss conveviality contest, if he can deliver the title ( and without too much crass commercialisation) he'd earn my undying respect.
