As REDS alluded to above - Trezeguet will be THIRTY this year.

      28 goals in 2005/2006??
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I suppose you'd have to say his movement must be good for him to squander so many chances, and indeed have such a good goalscoring record.

We do need a prolific goalscorer and his record would suggest he is exactly that...which is bizarre - a prolific goalscorer who leaves so very many people totally underwhelmed.
I thought Trezeguet had some sort of personal problem with me because this is exactly what happens when I watch him.

Just as I'm confidently announcing to everyone in the room 'he's ****e, he hasn't moved all game and he could hit a barn door'. Goal. Mr D Trezeguet.

Good to know he hates you as well as me Shaggy.

Depends on price for Trez. I'd take him for 7 million or less.

Id take him for £7m to. The one thing about Trez is that he truly does guarantee goals by the bucket load and there arent many around who can say that.

Its about time we had a goal hanger again.

                I hate players like that

But a guy whos deemed to be class but many people around the world and yet he's still with Juve after they were relegated and he's happy to play in a second rate league Serie B. Shows me he has no ambition.

He's **** and a very poor mans Henry

Either that or it shows he is loyal......... We were in for him last year as were other clubs but he stayed put along with Del Piero and the best keeper in the world - Gianluigi Buffon. I doubt many say Buffon lacks ambition.

His scoring record compares to any player in world football.

And saying he's not as good as Henry is hardly an argument for not signing him.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has revealed he's trawling the Serie A market for a new striker.

Juventus ace David Trezeguet has been a long-term target for Benitez, while the Spaniard also admitted interest in his teammate Valeri Bojinov today.

In an open interview with Corriere dello Sport, Benitez said: "We are following many players in Italy, like Trezeguet, but he's not alone and for me there is also (Udinese's Vicenzo) Iaquinta, (Palermo's) Amauri and Bojinov."

The Reds manager also stated: "The fenomeni of today are Ronaldinho, Kaka, (Francesco) Totti and Patrick (Vieira). (Leo) Messi will soon be able to reach that level, while Cristiano Ronaldo is the best right winger going around."

That has to be a load of Botox. Why? Because someone like Rafa would never call someone so ****e as Totti a 'fenomeni'

I also don't think you'd put Vieira in that category anymore, so that whole quote seems very odd to me.
"the correct decision would have been a penalty for us a red card for Gattuso and a yellow for Stevie"

Trezeguet, a lazy very good goalscorer just like RvN.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Horseface is ten times the player Trezeguet is. I would be distraught if we signed him.

I don't believe that we will sign him.

I would be very surprised if Villa isn't Rafa's number one transfer target.
