Spurs aren't exactly poor and Rafa will not pay over the odds. More chance of Alves signing than Lennon.

Alves is a winger who plays as an attacking right back because Sevilla have Navas who also is a very good right winger.Originally posted by Jan-Erik View PostAlves is an attacking right back, not a winger.
Alves is better in defense than Navas and that is why he plays attacking right back.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'd take Alves and Lennon. It might cost us short term but our right side would be sorted for the next 6-8 years. theyw ould have plenty of time to learn to play together.
If getting those 2 meant one of Crouch or Bellamy had to stay I'd take that. We'd need 1 goalscoring striker and a left winger to come up to scratch and our 1st 11 would be virtually there.

exactly Matt.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI don't think he is a priority, we need some to score, we have enough people to create (and we create a lot). Lennon wouldn't give us more goals and his delivary is not that great. Not who we should break the bank for at all.
We create a hell of alot of chances, Lennon wont make these chances any easier for our strikers to finish. He is a very talented player, he can dribble the ball at tremendous pace....but his delivery into the box lacks that class that Ronaldo and Rooney have.
We need better delivery from our wide players....Quaresma, Alves, Ribery would be at the top of my list.
First and Foremost however is our need for a top class finisher....Samuel Eto'o, Klose or Huntelaar would do nicely. We could probably get Huntelaar and Klose for the price of Eto'o or Villa also. Also another name that could be thrown into the hat is Mario Gomez from Stuttgart. He is tall, quick, young and can head the ball...and he hasn't really struck peoples radars yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rafa go for him."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

We have been linked with Gomez. He is a striker that score goals so I guess it was expected.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Stats are crap. GH used to come out with the same bull sh!t...we create more chances than any other side, blah blah blah. We're all fooling ourselves if we think we can ever win the league with Gonzalez and Pennant on the wings.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostWhy we create more chances than any other team in the league.
We need at least one striker and at least one winger. Preferably 2 of each.
Our strikers and wingers probably wouldn't get into any of the other top 4 teams and they would even struggle to get into the Spurs team. Rafa needs to get it right in the summer or we'll fail miserably in the premiership again.

We need quality width as well as quality up front. away from home against the big teams we have created little this season. Against Man U, Arsenal & Chelsea we didn't manage a goal away from home this seaon. Against Man u & Arsenal we never looked like scoring. Its more than poor finishing we need to sort it, its our creativity as well. Lets be honest we have only 1 genuinely creative player and thats SG. Thats not enough.AKA Heighway No9
