    Liverpool want Kuyt now fast
By STEPHAN WAGEMAN and AT WIJFFELS

LIVERPOOL - after a summer full false speculation will make Liverpool now definite work of the transfer of Dirk Kuyt.

Dirk Kuyt. PHOTOGRAPH PIM RACE.The club of manager Rafael Benitez prepares a good offer on the attacker who must be soaked off now fast at Feyenoord. Liverpool belong for Kuyt to the select row dream clubs that he has established for itself.

Coming week end starts the English competition. Liverpool near itself in this for the first time for years seriously chance champion of threatening Chelsea. The team that there now stands on Anfield Road almost the type type-elftal that Benitez for eyes had he two seasons has been then suffered came forward. There is lacking only still ball-fixed peak hours with feeling for combination football.

Last week the manager made already confessed that Liverpool have fresh money available after sale of Jimy Traoré. That player relocated for this way’n three millions euro to Charlton Athletic. The Reds will take part according to the expectations moreover again in the Champions League. They defend 2-1 a projection in the voorronde against Maccabi Haifa. For Kuyt also interest of Newcastle United exists, but that club does not belong to the dream clubs of the person whose birthday it isperson whose birthday it is person whose birthday it is Katwijker.

The type ring ‘dream club’ is an important criterion for Kuyt, which gladly wants prove himself in a top competition and in the Champions League. As confessed he has made clear agreements with Feyenoord concerning the conditions for a transfer. Pointed the guard the developments finished in Dublin, where he practises tomorrow with the Dutch elftal against Ireland. Coming week end starts also the eredivisie with for Feyenoord the away match at FC groningen.

Also Liverpool start its season with an away match, against promovendus Sheffield United. _ last Sunday know The Reds a good general in the Supercup against Chelsea. Liverpool that price with the type won football that manager Benitez propagates: varied attack game with many tempo accelerations from the midfield. In that linie the spanjaard has now with mark of González and Jermaine Pennant at last the players who can ensure the necessary penetratie. In that philosophy Kuyt the aanspeelpunt and kaatsbord must be for the rising middenvelders. Of course he also himself is considered score as a partner beside second peak hours. At present Liverpool in Craig Bellamy and have peter Crouch two attackers, with oudgediende Robbie Fowler on the achterhand. Crouch, previous season frequently criticised, made last week end the winning hit against Chelsea.

Liverpool communicated themselves once earlier in the tank with an offer on Kuyt. That by Feyenoord being labelled as much too low. The peak hours were still more often since then subject of speculation. Previous season seemed leave Kuyt also briefly for the start of the English competition. A transfer to Tottenham Hotspur did not go then however by, because Kuyt it too briefly found day to relocate in a hurry. Feyenoord and are leader leave open this year the possibility of a late transfer much. The international transfermarkt close on 31 augusts for the duration of three months.

Wallet said a £9.4 million bid had been made and no reply received

I said my source "Expects Kuyt to sign this week" or "should sign this week".

Maybe my English is terrible but none of the above sounds anything remotetly like a "done deal"

hello mate, for what its worth i think people are making a mistake mixing you in with informer, wallet, big cheese, the suits and the horse. unfounded attacks on people with proper information will only deter the likes of yourself from posting good information, which would be a loss to fans. however, dunk is the reason people are so sceptical in the first place with all his silly aliases and rehashing of stories from the echo or other sites.

        Agger aims to retain place

        Aug 15 2006

        By Chris Bascombe, Liverpool Echo

DANIEL AGGER hopes his confident return to senior action will ignite a Liverpool career he believes has endured an 'unlucky' start.

The Danish international was a surprise inclusion for Sunday's Community Shield victory, but he justified the faith of the manager with an accomplished performance against Didier Drogba and Andriy Shevchenko.

It was only Agger's fifth first team appearance since his £5.5m switch from Brondby last January.

But with competition for places at the heart of the Liverpool defence stronger than it's been for years, the 21-year-old is sure of his ability to be at the forefront of the manager's plans.

"It was a bit of a surprise to be selected, but that's what I'm here for. To play, so although it was a surprise I was ready," said Agger.

"I wasn't thinking about the fact I was playing against Shevchenko, all I thought about was the game. To be playing made me happy so I was determined to do my best.

"I think I've been unlucky since I moved to Liverpool because of injuries, but you just have to get on with it. Now I'm moving on and will keep working.

"I've always felt a lot of confidence in my ability. I believe in myself and I know what I can and can't do.

"Now I hope this is a new start and the bad luck I've had is in the past."

Like much of the Liverpool squad, Agger is on international duty for the rest of the week.

Rafa Benitez was back at his desk at Melwood today hoping to conclude the £10m switch of Dirk Kuyt.

The Dutch international is now understood to be very close to concluding one of the longest transfer sagas of the summer.

Meanwhile, Scott Carson has been allowed to join Charlton on a season's loan.

Carson recently signed a new deal at Anfield, but Benitez is keen to see the youngster earn regular Premiership experience.

The second leg of Liverpool's Champions League tie against Maccabi Haifa, meanwhile, will be played in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev next Tuesday.

          Kuyt flyer
          Aug 15 2006
          By Alan Oliver,
          The Evening Chronicle

Glenn Roeder will have another look at Feyenoord's Dirk Kuyt as the Newcastle United manager continues his never-ending search to bring a new striker to St James' Park.

Roeder will travel to Dublin tomorrow night, and he is hoping that Kuyt will be in the Dutch side that goes in against a Republic of Ireland team which will include his own Stephen Carr and Damien Duff, and possibly Alan O'Brien, at Lansdowne Road.

However, Roeder seems to have gone cool on Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins after The Chronicle revealed last night that United were concerned about the real age of the Nigerian international.

And Roeder says that a report today linking United with a £6m move for Wigan Athletic striker Henri Camara is news to him and is simply not correct.

Roeder and his No 2 Kevin Bond were at Wigan on Saturday for the friendly with Vitesse, but this was not to look at Camara but to run the rule over Paul Jewell's side for Saturday's opener at St James'.

Obviously, if United do sign a new striker this week it may be too late for him to play Camara and Wigan at the weekend.

But there could be one departure before then, and I hear that there is a "good chance" that central defender Jean Alain Boumsong will go back to France on loan with Bordeaux in the next couple of days, and possibly before tonight's deadline for registering players for the next stages of the Champions League.

The Chronicle first revealed United's interest in Kuyt (left) back in April, and while the player has more than once indicated he would be willing to come to St James' Park, Feyenoord are in no hurry to sell him - especially after they picked up around £8m from Chelsea a couple of months ago for their young striker Salomon Kalou.

Feyenoord are holding out for a similar fee for Kuyt, but United are obviously hoping to get him a bit cheaper if they decide to make him an offer.

While Roeder and United step up their search for a striker, they have not lost interest in midfielder Thomas Gravesen, and chief scout David Mills will watch him play for Denmark against Poland tomorrow night.

But United know that other clubs are sniffing for the tough-tackling midfielder, and if they have to pay a price for putting Gravesen on the back burner because their priorities are up front, then so be it.

The same applies to England left-back Wayne Bridge, but I believe that if and when Ashley Cole finally moves across London from Arsenal to Chelsea then Bridge will be on his way to St James' Park.

Roeder has allowed United's promising young defender Paul Huntington to go to Plymouth Argyle for a week's experience and he will play for their reserves tomorrow night.
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

He didn't suddenly become a bad player because he was stuck beside Ttitus Bramble. He's fcuking hopeless in his very own right.

If anything, big Titus has managed to retain *some* tiny shred of dignity out of their partnership, Boumsong though is a hapless, clueless, joke of a footballer who will never play in this country again.

But still, I hope its true that Kuyt has admitted he wants to join Liverpool.
