Although I said Spurs fans get on my tits, I sat amongst them (behind the goal at the opposite end to our lot) when we lost there in Houllier's last season. I intended to keep my footballing persuasion under wraps but after about a minute was on my feet oohing and aahing when Owen went close. Throughout the game I had some great banter with the surrounding Spurs fans and they were a top bunch. No hassle whatsoever.

The comebacksOriginally posted by ShaggyAlonsoSpurs fans get RIGHT on my tits, more so than the Geordies. Since Jol improved them, they've become incredibly deluded. My Spurs mate is STILL insisting (as he was this time last year) that there's "nothing between the squads" and that we are "very evenly matched". What about the 17 point gap last season then huh?!
More Spurs pearls of wisdom from my chum:
"Zakora is better than Sissoko"
"We have a better pool of strikers than you"
"We have a better keeper"
"Jol is more astute and is a better coach than Benitez"
"If we had Gerrard we'd be indisputably better than you"
I **** you not. :whatever:
hmmmm interested to see Zakora he is supposed to be a very goodplayer, Lets see him settle...have u watched Momo recently
They did have shame none of them can play together
Robinsons good.....but he aint no Reina, can see a debate if your blind
Jol Couldnt get Traore a CL Medal.... Enough Said
let me guess though.....you nearly signed him once though_____________________________________

From the offal....
KUYT PROUD TO BE A RED
Dutch international Dirk Kuyt reflected on his dream move to Liverpool and declared: "It is a special feeling to be here."
Rafael Benitez's new signing said he can't wait to get started in a red shirt and revealed he had no hesitation once Liverpool came in for him.
"I think Liverpool is a fantastic club with a lot of great history and it really is a dream to sign for them," enthused Kuyt.
"There were other clubs from England interested in me but Liverpool gave me that special feeling to make me want to play for them. I have said all along the only club I would have left Feyenoord for is Liverpool and I'm really happy to be here.
"It really is a big honour for me to play for Liverpool. I watched a lot of Liverpool matches on the television in Holland. I watched the Champions League final which was the most crazy match I've ever seen! It was great for Liverpool to win it and always when Liverpool play in finals they are crazy matches like the FA Cup and UEFA Cup in 2001.
"I have always loved watching Liverpool play. I won't lie and say I have been a fan since I was two years old but this is a special club with a lot of history that I admire very much. It is a dream to play for them."
Kuyt also revealed he won't set himself any personal goal targets but promised he would give his all for Liverpool.
"I won't say I'm going to score 20 or 30 goals this season as for me the most important thing is the team wins and I am a player that wants to win trophies with this club," added the new Reds number 18.
"I can make goals as well as scoring them and I don't feel any extra pressure as I'm used to it."Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Live quotes from today's parading of Dirk Kuyt to the media. The Dutch international has been signed from Feyenoord on a 4-year-deal.
PRESS: What's it mean joining a club like Liverpool?
KUYT: I think Liverpool is a fantastic club, a very big club, for me it is a dream to play for a club like Liverpool.
PRESS: You've been linked with a move to the Premiership in each summer of the last three years. How close did that come to happening in the past then?
KUYT:There were a few clubs who wanted me in the Premier League but I think it's all about feeling and Liverpool gave me the best feeling about it. I really want to play for this club.
PRESS:In the past I guess you didn't know if Liverpool would come in for you so it was just a case of waiting to see what happened, was it?
KUYT:Yeh. I said in Holland I only want to leave the club for a bigger club and I think Liverpool is a fantastic club with a fantastic history.
PRESS: It seemed to have dragged on all summer though because we've heard about Liverpool's interest for quite a while. Did you think it was ever going to happen this summer?
KUYT: Yeh it took quite a while but the guys from Liverpool gave me the trust that it would all come together so I'm very happy I'm here and I can't wait to play.
PRESS:But all the talk is that you've been brought here as a 15 to 20 goal a season man so that's a fair bit of pressure already isn't it?
KUYT:No. I'm getting used to pressure. It's no problem for me. The only thing that is important is that the team is going to win. It's not so important how many goals I score.
PRESS
o you see yourself though as a potential 15 to 20 goals a season man in the Premiership?
KUYT:I know I can score goals. I also scored a lot of goals with Feyenoord. I expect to score a lot of goals here. I'm not a player who says I'm going to score 15 or 20 times. I'm a player who says I want to win trophies and for me that is the most important thing.
PRESS: I suppose the first thing is to get a regular start when you look at the competition for places here among the strikers?
KUYT: Yeh I can't wait to play in my first official match.
PRESS:Is he cleared to play this weekend Rafa?
RAFA: I don't know now. We are waiting [for international clearance].Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
