Yeah but you can buy players that don't disrupt the team morale.Originally posted by Lecter View PostFLMAO you cant buy players just because they are nice people
Bellamy is twice the player Cisse was / is because he shows passion, commitment and effort on the pitch all three of which were totally alien concepts to Cisse
It's not about 'nice people', but known trouble makers is something else, and lets face it, it didn't take him long to bring it to us.
I don't like him, I tolerate him cos he's a red.
And Cisse is not as bad as everyone makes out. He scored 20goals for us in his last season, as a bits and parts player, often playing wide right.

Cisse wasn't exactly 100% clean though was he? Didn't he get arrested for ALLEGEDLY hitting his missus, and didn't he give some kid a clip round the ear?Originally posted by LadyRed View PostYeah but you can buy players that don't disrupt the team morale.

Are you saying that Bellamy has had a negative impact on team morale?Team morale looks better than ever at the moment imo.Originally posted by LadyRed View PostYeah but you can buy players that don't disrupt the team morale.

Didn't cause an issue with his team mates though, did it?Originally posted by Reece View PostCisse wasn't exactly 100% clean though was he? Didn't he get arrested for ALLEGEDLY hitting his missus, and didn't he give some kid a clip round the ear?
And allegedly being the key word there.
I'm not a huge Bellamy fan, mainly cos of his conduct off the pitch, but even his constant moaning on the pitch is tiresome. I wasn't a fan before we signed him, I see him the same way I see Savage, nasty whiny little so and so.
However, we signed him, so I had to give him the benefit of the doubt and allow him to prove everyone wrong, within months he's at the centre of a scandal. Thus restoring and reinforcing my initial opinion of him.
I can't overly fault him in terms of his performances, but has he really given us much more than Cisse would have? Really? I don't think so.

It might well be, but it took a very public and embarassing incident to make that happen.Originally posted by desertscouser View PostAre you saying that Bellamy has had a negative impact on team morale?Team morale looks better than ever at the moment imo.
A trip away together, without the scrap would have arguably achieved the same.

In short, yes. Cisse was overwhelmingly fustrating to watch, whereas Bellamy is increasingly exciting and improving each game. Goals return may not yet reflect this, but I think people have more faith in bellamy to reach a higher level than they ever did with djibril.Fernando Torres
I dont just love him, I'm IN love with him

I have to agree with this.Originally posted by Jazzmaster View PostIn short, yes. Cisse was overwhelmingly fustrating to watch, whereas Bellamy is increasingly exciting and improving each game. I was embarresed sometimes last year at Cisse's abysmal first touch, whereas I don't have the same concerns about Bellamy.
However, this is a moot point, as we don't have a 20+ a year striker and it's costing us.
Robbie Fowler at his best would have put the Man Utd game to bed in the first half.

Yes he was very frustrating at times, like I said all the weaknesses I highlighted about Martins game, Cisse is guilty of too, on a lesser scale though IMO.Originally posted by Jazzmaster View PostIn short, yes. My point (and I do have one) is that he's no less frustrating than the strikers we have now. When a manger sells/loans a player out, his replacement should show a sign of progress, the fact that we still have strikers that squander chance after chance, and still don't have the elusive 20+ goal striker we're waiting for, shows that we're really not much better off than we were last season.
