I'm from Greenock mate but have lived in Gourock for the last 7 years. Nice pies at Kilmarnock, pity about the team :P

As for a friendly to raise the profile of the JFT 96 campaign, the suits should knock their heads together and get it done. That is one game I certainly wouldn't miss.

I've been up to Greenock a few times to watch Killie play Morton.

I live down here now though and have done for 10 years so it's been a long time since I had a Killie pie. You've just put me in the mood for one now.

I was at the post-Hillsborough friendly at Park Head in 1989. I'm still overwhelmed by the generosity of the Bhoys from Croy on the bus I went to the match on. Different class, mate...

I was at that match to. I've still got the green and red half and half programme with the words to YNWA written on the front. It was some day.

I used to wear a half Liverpool half Celtic hat when i was a little scally on the Kop. I remember half of the Kop would sing Celtic and the other would sing Rangers. I am "Catholic" but favored Celtic simply because we got King Kenny off them nothing to do with religion.

I honestly don't want this to run into a slangng match as this is certainly not the appropriate thread but my comments are the truth.

Please note: i live in Northern Ireland so i think i should know what i'm talking about when it comes to the Bigotry issue which is always there and always will be there between Celtic Football Club and Rangers Football Club.
It's Catholics v Protestants and it's nasty, proper nasty.

I come from Norn Iron too and take issue with you labelling Celtic or Rangers fans bigots.Huge inroads have been made in the last ten yrs to stop bigotry(Espiecially at Celtic).

In future Mark you should make sure you know what your talking about before you open your mouth.ridiculous post as usual.WUM.

It gets my goat when someone labels whole communities when only a few are guilty and being from N.Ireland he should know better as should Silverfox for his comment.I live in the free state and try hard to be an ambassador for the north,i regularily drink with both Northern and Scottish Celtic and Rangers fans and enjoy the craic and friendly banter.Never once has sectarianism or bigotry entered the conversations.Name calling is allowed because we know it`s only "A bit off craic" and nothing more.

I think that both clubs are trying very hard to try and stop biggotry but Rangers seem to be having a hard time getting rid of them.

A few years ago Rangers and Celtic players shared a christmas party to try and show certain sections of fans that if the players can be friends off the pitch then so can the fans.

Huge in roads have been made but there is still an undoubted amount of work to do.
